At another shrine in the middle of Gate 7, a meeting was held between Wakano Fae, the second aunt of Reia, and the rebels. The shrine itself was different in design, this time being a maze of hallways that spread across a few football fields. In the centre, a building taller than anything else in the shrine was the meeting place.
Kitsune guards stood posted around the building, even on the roof, just in case of any intruders and, most of all, mutants. With a large gathering of people, it is expected that there might be some mutant activity.
It was not yet confirmed, but it is believed that the reason why mutants have quieted down is because there is no longer a large quantity of essence in the area. Mutants consume people for their essence in the first place, so it is not unreasonable to think they are attracted by it.
