Returning to the bunker, as Aoi and I approached the entrance, we heard yelling coming from inside. Looking briefly at each other, we quickly rushed inside to see what was happening.
'Fuck, fuck, Lou found out it was Klein, didn't she?' I couldn't help but think of the worst-case scenario, especially with how high of a risk it was to take Lexi inside. It wasn't out of the ordinary for the occasional argument to happen within the squad, but I thought we were beyond that now.
We are in a life-and-death scenario where arguments over personal differences just don't matter. How does caring about someone else benefit the situation? We have separate rooms for a reason. It is also partly why we look out for ourselves so that there is no conflict of interest. Of course, I try to regulate how much we eat each day and schedule shower time, but that's a given since it would be chaos otherwise.
