Having returned to the entrance of the bunker, Reia took a seat while Akira stood out in the open with Echo standing in front of him.

Echo waited patiently for Akira to begin making sure that he goes at his own pace for his safety. Reia and Akira were technically a different species now, so there were a lot of unknowns about what they can do.
'Here goes nothing.' Akira took a deep breath and started with his hands. Turning into the black slime with bright red streaks, Echo quickly took this chance to examine his hands before they went deeper.
As expected the mutant layer was extremely thin making it just another layer of skin, but what intrigued Echo was how the mutant slime seems to root itself in his skin.
