Mutants kept emerging from the wall as quickly as they were being killed, but now there were variations popping up that required more attention.
"Jayde and Echo, you focus on the normal mutants. Aoi you are with me." Reia wanted to kill the variations quickly as they had essence abilities that could easily kill them.
Spotting a tiger-sized mutant rhinoceros beetle that was glowing red, it was safe to assume it was some fire-type essence. Not letting it use its essence, Reia shot the head of the beetle but her bullet ricocheted.
"Shit!" Reia realised that the mutant also gained the hard outer shell, making killing it even harder. The beetle became enraged and lifted its body up and a bright red core was visible. Aoi quickly went to fire at the core, however lava spewed out stopping her bullet.
Stepping back from the lava that oozed from its body, they now had a target but needed the beetle to stand up again.
