In a building across from the nest, Kadi was crouched while aiming down the sights of her gun. The rest of the squad was behind a counter watching what she was doing, but one person was missing.
"Over here, you bastards!" Jayde's voice was heard in the distance, followed by the growls of the mutants. After a few more seconds Jayde ran around a corner of a building and headed straight to where Kadi was.
A few mutants came rushing around the same corner trying to catch Jayde.
Running inside the building, Jayde jumped over Kadi and the counter where the squad was. Echo didn't realise it, but Jayde jumped directly at him and in the last second tried to catch her, but instead was pushed to the ground, smothered by Jayde's rather large chest.
The mutants continued to run and as soon as they entered the building, Kadi started firing. Surprisingly she was able to handle the submachine gun's recoil and accurately hit the mutants.
