Walking through the streets, it was much quieter than before as the number of survivors dropped and had already found somewhere to stay as refugees. There were also not as many mutants roaming around as there wasn't anything for them to hunt.
The squad realised this and found walking outside isn't as dangerous as it used to be and the only danger was other people. However, there would be mutants seemingly scouting the area which supported that the mutants are more sentient than mindless beasts.
"There seems to be a hivemind and the nests have something to do with it." Reia saw one of the humanoid-looking mutants, but as soon as they were spotted ran away.
"It's scary knowing that they seem to have a mind." Jayde didn't know too much about the mutants and it was news to her that they were intelligent.
