{"So, Gael, who do you think is going to win today's match?"} Gino Morin asked turning to the guest commentator; Gael Darrow
{"Honestly, I think Neon Flare will win today, it's not that JLNC is weak, it's just that Neon Flare is using their off-laner, the one supposed to help them get out of risky situations as a weak link."} Gael Darrow answered and Gino Morin nodded
{"Well, we're about to find out who'll win,"} he said
{"Give it up for Neon Flare!"}
{"Let's welcome, JLNC!"}
Key was breathing heavily, she managed to act calm and composed and even play around while Cygnus was throwing words at her earlier but the irritation from the previous round still lingered in her.
{"And that's it for the banning part. Neon Flare banned Chasseur, Chikara, and Sournoise. JLNC banned Pylae, Fortiz, and Maesta."} Gael Darrow summarized after the banning part ended
"Quant, Clypeus,"
"Rasheed, Blitz,"
"Opal, Vis,"
"El, Luccicare,"
"Key, get Luxy,"
Bright ordered them sequentially at their every turn, and they followed as they are told.
{"Let's see the teams' shinigami line-up,"} Gino Morin started as the list of each team's shinigami flashed on the screen
{"For JLNC, we have Vis as top-laner, Luccicare as mid-laner, Luxy as off-laner, Clypeus as support, and Blitz as forward. For Neon Flare we have Coraje as top-laner, Fidens as mid-laner, Intrepidus as off-laner, Evocatrice as support and Fiore as forward."} Gino Morin summarized
Bright headed to the middle of the gaming arena and shook his hands with the opponent team's coach.
He gave them a thumb's up before heading the backstage. The second round began and all the shinigami started roaming the map, they dispersed from their spawn point, their base, as soon as they spawned on the map.
From JLNC's base, Vis and Clypeus headed to the top lane, Blitz and Luxy headed to the bottom lane, and Luccicare headed to the middle lane.
On the other side of the map, from Neon Flare's base; Coraje and Intrepidus headed to the top lane, Fiore and Evocatrice headed to the bottom lane, and Fidens headed to the middle lane where he and Luccicare immediately exchanged attacks but both retreated under their towers to develop.
{"It seems that JLNC had decided to put their vulnerable off-laner under their best player's wings."} Gael Darrow commented and Gino Mornin chuckled
{"Oh, I won't call Kashmiri a vulnerable player even after what happened in the first round."} Gino Morin shook his head
{"If anything, their combination might be a big threat to the opposing team."} He said and Gael Darrow nodded his head
At first, both teams were just leveling up, that is until Blitz and Fiore clashed in the bottom lane. Blitz managed to gain the upper hand when Luxy's maceries protected him with a wall that received all of Fiore's attacks.
Vis, Luccicare, and Clypeus also started attacking as soon as Luxy's maceries appeared in front of them, this sudden move from their side took the opponent by surprise.
The whole arena cheered when red smoke flew up in the middle of the stage and the red bolded words flashed on the large screen.
'FIRST BLOOD' the first blood is Fiore, Blitz drained him of his blood before he proceeded to drain Evocatrice who retaliated by summoning ogres, ogres that Luxy killed off while their forwards clash.
{"That was a brazen and quick move from JLNC!"} Gael Darrow exclaimed
{"Kashmiri's Luxy's maceries served as the signal for the rest of the members of JLNC to start attacking their opponent, it was a quick clash."} Gino Morin said
{"If we're to connect this sudden attack with the ambush and farming that occurred in the first round where JLNC's off-laner had fallen victim to, one could call this a comeback. She is known to be very aggressive in her gameplays but right now she's falling back and acting as support."} He added
{"And Neon Flare was almost aced if Coraje and Intrepidus didn't retreat after stunning the JLNC's players in the top lane."} Gael Darrow nodded his head while speaking
On the map, JLNC's members started attacking the defense towers.
"You can run around," Rasheed said and Key shortly turned her head to his direction before a small smile appeared on her lips.
"Yes, Captain!" she replied and retreated her Luxy from trailing behind their Captain
"Quant, develop in secret as well," Rasheed said
"Yes, Captain," Quant answered and retreated his Clypeus from helping Vis
"Key, you should go back to the base and refill your blood first." El said and Key chuckled
"Captain gave me permission to run around, I'll run back if I get in trouble." She said mischievously
From the bottom lane, Kashmiri's Luxy strayed away into the bushes, she was like a tiger cub on her first hunt. Each move is hardly calculated, it's as if she's running on instinct.
Players of Neon Flare resurrected back into the map as well, with this knowledge, Coraje and Evocatrice stirred back into the top lane from their plan of heading to the base, but before they could move further, a wave of light followed by multiple skills.
They are drained of blood, and the culprit is Luxy, who is now of full blood after using Zoi.
"No need to go back to the base, I'm full blood." She said excitedly which made El and Opal shake their heads while Quant couldn't help but chuckle
"Come here then," their Captain's mood obviously lightened a bit after their off-laner had jumped back on her feet
"Yes, Captain," she replied while attacking towers that she run to on her way back to the bottom lane
Although her captain told her to go back, he didn't say immediately so Key used her Luxy to attack the opponent's manticore but was immediately fended off by the newly-resurrected Intrepidus.
"Hey, Opal, can you finish off my cousin for me?" she asked in mischief
"Huh? Why should I finish off her cousin?" Opal, who didn't get the joke, asked
"She's talking about the kitsune, the demon fox." El replied with a small smile
"Okay," Quant said
"That damned bitch…" Cygnus swore after his shinigami and Key's shinigami clashed, his stunning attack failed because Key managed to dodge it and now they're clashing
"Brimstone, support me here." He called out to their team's top-laner
"On it," Brimstone, Neon Flare's top-laner, replied and a little later, he is in the Manticore's lair much to Key's disappointment.
"Come here," Rasheed called her again and Key sighed
"Bye, playmates," she said in a sing-song tone to assuage her mood
She used Zoi and Accenderre as her 'farewell gift' to the two members of Neon Flare before she headed to the bottom lane.
"Reporting for duty, captain!" she said as she used Accenderre to deal damage on Neon Flare's second tower, taking the opponent by surprise
"Save your ults, we'll head to the Hydra after this." Their captain ordered
The match continued, the second round didn't last for half an hour because JLNC didn't let Neon Flare jump back on their feet and strike back at them after they aced the group.
The third round went quickly as well, Rasheed kept Kashmiri as his support all throughout the third round and they won.
After JLNC's victory, they stood up to shake hands with the players of Neon Flare. Cygnus's eyes sharpened upon seeing Key, he can't believe that the off-laner he belittled during the break before is beating him at the turf he had proclaimed as his,
Key met his sharp gaze with her innocent smile, which irked him even more, her smile, as innocent as it looks, felt as if she's mocking him for the words he had thrown at her earlier.
"Did you do something to the opponent's off-laner?" Quant couldn't help but ask after he noticed the gaze Cygnus threw at Key, Key replied with a small smile and shook her head
