Jefferson led Lilith to the passenger's seat of his sleek, black car, opening the door for her with a gentlemanly flourish. Lilith smiled, appreciating the gesture, and settled into the seat. Jefferson quickly got in the driver's seat, started the engine, and pulled out of the driveway.
