Ivar, having recovered from his initial surprise, stepped forward. "Well, you two enjoy yourselves. And Jefferson, take care of her."
Jefferson nodded seriously. "Of course, Mr. Ivar. I'll make sure we have a great time."
Amon found himself unable to look away. He wanted to say something, to reach out to Lilith, but the words caught in his throat. Instead, he watched as she left with Jefferson, feeling a mix of emotions he couldn't quite understand.
"Are you ready, Lilith?" Jefferson asked, turning to the lady in question.
Lilith, a vision in her dress, nodded and smiled, "Yes, I'm ready." She then turned to the others, a hint of uncertainty in her eyes, "How do I look?"
Gwen, a fiery redhead with a sharp tongue but a heart of gold, was the first to react. "You look stunning, Lilith! Absolutely breathtaking."
