He was silent as he looked at him. How baffling it was to find his nemesis, Zeus Keiro Thaddeus inside his building. Zeus, like him, is never a part of the Thaddeus family biologically as only Dana was the sole child.
Zeus was found by Ms. Aetos by the abandoned house across the block near the Thaddeus residence, after pity came toward the old woman she brought him to the Thaddeus couple's residence as they decided to adopt him. He is known as five years older than Narcester and two years older than Dana. Once he was lawfully adopted, Zeus stood as the young master and first inheritor of the wealth of the Thaddeus family.
But Zeus was found incapable of carrying out his responsibilities and is only after the wealth he'll inherit so the couple had sent him to Spain to study and work there with the international investors of Thaddeus Studios. He never left Spain even though the couple who lovingly adopted him died.
"What are you doing here, Zeus?" Narcester spoke in an austere tone.
Zeus snickered as he smiled, "Won't you come and hug your brother? Or at least a greeting? I've not returned here for many years. How long was it, Lynne?"
He turned around towards a woman wearing a white blouse, the buttons by the chest up to the collar were unbuttoned as she wore this red lipstick and looked at Zeus seductively. She was standing in a posture as she confidently replied, "Diecisiete años, señor. (17 years, sir.)"
"Si, si, eso es correcto. (That is correct)" he nodded after speaking in the Spanish language.
"Been 17 years indeed since I was sent to Spain, how come you haven't missed me?"
"I've never known you existed, Zeus, not until you showed up before me," he said coldly.
"How cold, my younger brother is so cold towards me," he said as he jest.
"Don't fool around and leave my seat, Zeus. If you have matters with me, get an appointment."
"My, my, have you forgotten that I, Zeus, am the supposed heir of this mine?"
Narcester footed close to the table as he landed the tips of his fingers on the desk and looked at him closely, "And you've lost such opportunity, Zeus."
Zeus narrowed the distance between their faces as he whispered, "Have you forgotten, Narcester? You were the one who stole my rights to the abundant inheritance Lyren and Zyreena have left for me."
Narcester stood straight as he raised his chin and glared down at him, "My, my, there's never something that is meant for you. The day you lose the trust of our parents, you have been given no right to receive anything from them. That incident alone was a deep scar on their hearts."
"Hah!" Zeus scoffed. "Our parents? How do you suppose I view them as one?"
"I never meant yours and mine but mine and Dana's, the time you called them by their names, disrespecting those who loved you when no one did is enough evidence that you are unworthy to be their child, may it be for the law or by birth."
Zeus gritted his teeth as he tried to raise his hand and formed his fist to launch at Narcester.
"Do not move a muscle, sir." Myrto immediately reacted.
He halted and Narcester gave a snicker as he eyed him down once more. His cold aura surrounded the room and Zeus' hands started to shiver.
"Many always tend to abandon the people that accepted them when no one else did and many also abandoned those who needed them most."
Narcester slowly footed away from the table as his back faced Zeus.
Zeus chuckled as he raised his head and crossed his arms. He raised an eyebrow as he gave a snicker. "Are you talking about yourself, Narcester?"
Narcester looked back at him and scantily scowled, but then he raised his brows and snickered back to him.
"I'm speaking for both of us, aren't you abandoned by your mother as well?"
Zeus scowled at him as he moved away from the seat, he faced the glass pane and looked over to a small part of the city. There stood this one building that might be a little smaller than the Studio building yet guests come in and go.
"You see that over there, Narcester? I believe you know what that building is."
"I am not a fool to not know."
"Indeed you aren't, what do you think will best happen to Klein Entertainment if I interfere with their business?" he looked towards him.
His eyes confided with the gleeful scheme, the devil lurked behind shadows as he snickered.
"I heard you married the heiress of that company. Humor has it that because you wanna save Klein and his company, I wonder why you ever wanted to save the wretched company of the old man."
Narcester creased his forehead as he spoke, "Do not provoke me as you continue to speak nonsense, Zeus. I did not do what I did for that old man."
"What will you feel that after sacrificing your freedom to the law and having a wife, I as your brother just slowly shatter the main reason for that sacrifice? What will happen to you and your image?" he chuckled.
"Leave me alone, Zeus. I do not want to have any heated argument with you."
"And what if I do?" he snickered.
He knew very well that he was tempting the waves, for him, it was fun to continue pursuing so. "I have an important matter with you, honestly, Narcester. But it's not a matter between me and you as I wish to involve our dear sister, Dana. I hope you convey to her the news that I have returned. Let's have a happy reunion once."
Zeus left as his secretary, Lynne followed, as they reached the door, Zeus wrapped his arm around the waist of the secretary.
Narcester sighed heavily as he plopped himself to sit on the seat. Heavily, he inhaled and exhaled, he took his phone off his pockets as he started to dial Dana.
She was far from picking up, but luckily as he was fortunate, Dana finally picked up as he spoke.
"I was calling you for 10 mins now," he said.
"I didn't hear it, eventually."
Dana on the other side of the line was sitting as her legs were crossed and was slowly munching on some almond chocolates. She was in a photoshoot as the crew prepared her for another take.
"Speak while I still have time, Narcy," she said as she continued to eat the almonds.
"Listen carefully, Dana…." he said austerity
Dana felt the change in his voice surprisingly, as she heard his words, she raised her eyebrows and fear confided in her eyes.
