Vargas couldn't calm himself after Narcester had spoken in front of the press. The media still wanted more from Narcester, this time, it does not regard the fake news Vargas tried to spread but is now about his wife.
The flashing cameras bothered his eyes, the entrance to his studio was so crowded that even the security guards were unable to stop them from piling up the entry.
The employees can't enter inside to work due to the issue. Even though Narcester was working hard for his patience, just the sight of the paparazzi can't get him to bottle his anger.
Vargas who was supposed to get that attention after spreading lies to the media can't just sit around as he thought. He charged to Narcester's company building and brought forth a big scene.
About to head out his way, Narcester met Vargas who was angered with his fists clenched. As he looked at him, he tilted his head, glanced behind him at Myrto, and snickered.
He looked at Vargas and crossed his arms and said, "Greetings, Mr. Vargas! What business do you have here? Felicity is still shooting advertisements in some business brand affiliates. You can wait for her return in her lobby."
His voice was rather sarcastic, Vargas glared at him and tightened his fists in clenching. "Why do you look so angry, Mr. Vargas?" he tilted his head and with his sinister smile, he chuckled.
"You know what you did, Narcester," he replied with austerity.
"You're serious? That's very unlikely of you. Have you taken drugs or something? I thought you were a joke. I never knew you can be serious too." he giggled.
"Are you mocking me?! After all that I brought upon your company! I invest the biggest fortune in this, without my help and money you are not able to be dominant in the Entertainment Industry! How come you defy me and refuse to marry my daughter?! So be it that misfortune falls upon this crappy company you have!"
Narcester laughed insanely. He held on to his stomach and continued to burst into laughter. "Haa, this is why I said you can never be serious..." he sighed.
His face reformed to an austere countenance, and his demeanor became heavy and dark as he glared down at him, intently.
"Greatest money? You mean those that you've stolen. You always go on about this and try to threaten me every time, Mr. Vargas. You knew very well that it doesn't work. Haven't I made it clear? I have a wife, better than the low-quality type. Misfortune will fall upon my company? Is that a curse? Should I be cursed? I heard oldies in your bloodline believe in old-fashioned folklores. That's too bad." he footed close to him.
He patted his shoulder and whispered, "Mr. Vargas, as I said before, you're in Greece, do as the Greeks do."
After his words are said, Narcester leaves Vargas once again speechless. Worse than before this time the scandal is recorded by the lurking reporters and paparazzi.
The crowd stepped back as soon as he approached them with those heavy glares and creased forehead. It's always easy to tell if he's irked but it can never be easy with his train thoughts. For even though one can tell of his annoyance, what he might do is still unpredictable.
Myrto drove the car to him, he entered and looked through the windows. The calmed crowd was staring at him with those eyes where fear left traces.
Slowly, the car took off as the car windows rolled up. He was silent and Myrto bother not to talk either. It is never good to talk when Narcester is annoyed.
Avyanna was sitting by the shore, she was looking at the foreign tourists and customers who were enjoying the heat of the beach. She was resting after welcoming the massive amount of customers who checked in.
Though there was no such occasion currently the resort was able to manage stability, popularity, and customers daily.
There would never be any traces of u liveliness from it.
The way the two siblings raised the business so well was something she could adore, especially that she could learn from it after graduating, majoring in Business Management.
It was a blessing in disguise to marry Narcester, though she thought how he would inflict fear on her. Still, it was all pure sunshine with no rain clouds from him. Though she felt a coldness from the atmosphere of his abode, she felt somehow safe inside it.
Suddenly, she felt some soft fingers tap on her back. She looked over and saw the young child, Nafeli, Mrs. Stawarski's granddaughter. The young girl hugged her and smiled.
"I apologize for what mommy said to you. I heard it from Grandma," she said with a soft voice, though in her eyes the feeling of being sorry.
"How did you know where I was?" she asked.
"Grandma said you now own a resort around here. After looking for a time, there was this high probability that you are here. I have the driver bring me here as well. Though my mother has a meeting with someone around this area." cheerfully, the young girl spoke and kept her bright smile.
The sun's high up at noon, and she was feeling the heat touch her skin as she stood up. She reached her hands to Nafeli and spoke sweetly and softly, "Shall we go there? It's hot out here, we'll be burning our skin if we stay long here."
The kid nodded and placed her hand on hers as Avyanna brought her to the office's lobby. She took out a juice from the machine by the corner and gave it to the young child. She sat and looked at the happy girl who was sipping gladly on the straw of the juice box.
"So, Nafeli," she said.
The girl looked over at her. "Yes?"
"Where's your father? I noticed his absence, I usually observe that both the parents pick up their young kids," she said, it was based on her observation throughout the years and even that observation was as old as her kindergarten years.
Back when Avyanna was a young elementary student, she would only look at the happy parents who pick their children up. She observed the pattern and compared it to her being picked up by their driver only. Till now, she thought that still applies. It was usual that someone would assume the family is broken after both the parents don't show up.
"My dad...he's in prison." Nafeli sadly spoke.
Avyanna immediately felt sorry for the young girl, though she doesn't want the kid to talk more, Nafeli insisted.
"My father...he's allegedly accused of abusing my mother sexually. Even though they're married."
The girl was talking as if she was not her age anymore, the door to these issues opened up to her at such an early age that worried Avyanna, she is worried about Nafeli's mental state after witnessing such stuff.
"My father would never do that. Dad is kind, he asks permission from me before he touches or carries me. He does the same to mom. He gave her everything she wanted and introduced her to the Entertainment Industry. My dad was once the President of the company my mother works for. But after the case was filed, he lost authority over the company and was handed down to my uncle, his brother. I feel sorry for dad, he didn't do anything. I trust him."
Nafeli rubbed her fingers and fidgeted. Avyanna saw the forming of tears on her eyelids, as Nafeli noticed her, she died the tears off in an instant. She clenched the juice box and forced out a smile.
"Don't worry about me, Mama Yanna. Nafeli can live on without a dad! I will wait until he's out of the prison and I'll come with him, under his custody."
"Why?" Avyanna asked softly. "Why would you want to stay with your father after he's out in prison? That would affect your image as his daughter. They'll call you a daughter of a criminal, a convict."
Nafeli smiled brightly, "That's why I'll stay with him, he needs my company."
Nafeli slumped her shoulders briefly and spoke, "I don't want to be with mama anymore."
