"Take my hand, take a breath, pull me close, and take one step~"
Narcester performed using the effort of his voice. He reached his hand out to her as she slowly approached the opportunity. He placed his hand on her waist and danced with her while he was singing.
"Keep your eyes, not to mine~ But let the music be your guide"
Avyanna smiled, flustered and shy, she couldn't believe it. For the first time in her life, she was surprised on her birthday and she can't make herself believe that it is happening. Anticipating it was rather a dream or a delusion she thought of it because of the lack of appreciation for her during the date of her birth.
"Oh, won't you promise me? That you'll never forget, we'll keep dancing wherever we go next~"
And the trance continued until the song ended with the chorus. Myrto being an audience could just smile. In a short while, he left the two alone and the maids started to bring in the dishes that mostly Avyanna loved.
"So this is where the maids went..." she giggled.
He smiled, "Happy Birthday."
Slowly, he kissed her forehead and moved his hands away. He pulled out the chair from the table and had her seated there. He wanted her to enjoy this wonderful dinner.
Avyanna seems to feel guilty, he knew her birthdate but she doesn't know his. She urged herself to ask them. "When is your birthday?"
Narcester looked at her. "April 6th. Why?"
"April 6th? Isn't that the date of the contract proposal and signing?"
He nodded. "Then, are you in a hurry because you are about to celebrate your birthday with your family? Apologize if we ruined that day for you."
"No, you didn't. It was a gift. At that time, due to work, I can only visit at night time. I was preparing to visit my parents' grave."
Avyanna suddenly felt sorry for him, but to reassure him that he is stable via well-being, he smiled at her.
"Don't think about that, it isn't even my birthday." he beamed.
"It wasn't?"
"It's the date I got adopted by Dana's parents."
She was astounded, Narcester? Adopted? Did no one know of that?
"I was left all alone in the cold streets by my mother, Mrs. Stawarski was the one who picked me up. She was the same age as me by that time — 32. She brought me to my adopted parents and they raised me with Dana. They were unable to produce another child, that's why I was able to be in such a family."
Avyanna looked at him with remorse but all he wore on his face was that bright smile.
"Do you wish to find your biological mother?"
He nodded a no and continued to eat. "What if you found yourself in an encounter with her?"
Narcester stopped and looked at her, he placed his spoon gently back on the plate.
"It wouldn't mean anything. A person who left you for good, leaving you out there to freeze in the cold would never make my heart pound in excitement. I didn't look for her as much as she didn't. A mother has 20% authority to be called a mother by giving birth and 80% for the responsibility she executed and did. She is a mother for giving birth to me but not a mother because she neglected the responsibilities she had for me. I'm already old enough to fend for myself, if she appears out of the blue, I won't need her like she didn't need me. I don't want her to come back like how she didn't want me in her life."
Avyanna's sad expression became obvious. Her heart has the feeling of being ripped apart. She can't help but have her container of sadness fill the top.
"Now, now, Avie...Don't cry for me. It's your birthday, ain't it?" he said and caressed her cheeks.
She thought that she had it rough but as he witnessed Narcester's sanity stable after all that had happened the day he was born, she just had to think twice. Is her life the worst?
Narcester never knew his real parents but Avyanna still had a father. He lost her adopted parents while she lost her mother, the difference is that Avyanna still has a father. She can't seem to think right. What would Narcester feel inside of him?
Though even muddled, the day went fine according to what he had planned. By the time it was about to end, he then held her hands.
"Avie, I haven't given you a gift, haven't I?"
Avyanna was dumbfounded, it was already grand with the dinner, how far would he take her birthday then?
"Do you like to see everything around you at the moment?" he asked.
She nodded. "It's all yours." he smiled
"What?" she asked, confused.
"This is a resort, I and Dana have been having a hard time thinking of what to do. We both can't decide for years now. It's active as a tourist spot. Because of our work schedules then we can't find time to tend to this property. So we agreed, last night, that this property is now all yours. This will be your job that will help you out of boredom." he smiled.
"Isn't this too much to give me?"
He looked at her, "Would you like me to give the whole world to you?"
She slightly flushed and giggled. He kissed his forehead and brought her to a wide-open area. There was this huge object covered with cloth. He signaled her to pull the fabric off as she did.
She was quite surprised to see a black Tesla lying in front of her. He approached her and handed her the keys to it. "For you, Avie..."
She looked at it, somehow, Narcester was the only person capable of giving her the best gifts throughout her lifetime and she is beyond grateful. But it was this strange feeling that made her feel she can't accept them.
"You've worked so hard to give me such beautiful presents and surprises but are you not going overboard for a woman you barely know?"
He kissed the edge of her hair and adored it. "That's why I'm getting to know you, aren't I?"
He placed his hand on the back of her head and kissed her forehead softly. "Accept it and I shall fulfill any request from you."
Avyanna's eyes widened. She remembered what Xshena just told her a while ago about the stakes. Without it, the public knows it and Klein Entertainment is to fall again. In the change of mind, to do something for her father, she nodded.
"I accept them. Will you listen to my request?" she asked.
He smiled and nodded, yes.
Boldly, she clenched her fists, though she is nervous this request might get rejected, she could only wish. She furrowed her eyebrows as they met. Austerely, she spoke.
"I want you to invest once again in my father's company. Give it one last time and I, along with my father and his company will never fail you."
