"What if I am infertile?" Plumeria asked her to tease her, but her mother got all serious.
"That is a good question. Let me grab my stuff and we'll go straight to the hospital." Emily told her and rushed away.
Plumeria looked at her, dumbfounded, as she went away.
"Mom, it was a joke." she told her when her mother got back with her bag.
"Well, now, it's a serious matter." Emily told her and pushed her daughter out the door.
They ended up going to the hospital and Plumeria realized that she should stop making jokes in front of her mother until she got married.
Not only did Plumeria end up getting a fertility test, but Levi also got dragged in it because Emily told Ella and she also agreed to it.
"I don't think that I have ever been more embarrassed in my entire life." Levi told her in an annoyed tone.
