Plumeria quickly ran inside after that peck, blushing furiously. She leaned against the closed door and held her burning face in her hands. She went away quickly before her mom could find her.
She went to her room and down on her bed on her stomach and buried her face in the pillow. After a while, she moved her head to the side. She was biting the bottom of her lip as she tried not to smile.
She was feeling excited and embarrassed at the same time. Her heart kept fluttering as she remembered the kiss.
"He's pretty good when he's not being a jerk." she mumbled.
A while later, her mother came in after knocking at the door.
"Why did I have to find out from one of the servants that you were back?" her mother asked with a raised eyebrow.
She looked at her with pursed lips.
"Sorry." she told her.
Emily walked up to her and sat next to her with a serious look.
"Did something happen?" she asked her daughter.
