Sumire reached over and caressed his cheek. "I don't want to blame you for anything, Toh. But we are both in important positions in the underworld."
'If only she knew what my position was. The right hand man of the evil black alice organisation.'
From what Mamoru told him, Sumire met Lucifer and she wasn't happy with him.
'It was my first time seeing Ki that furious. Ki absolutely resents him for everything that has happened the past year.'
If she is that angry at Lucifer, then she will be beyond livid with him. Her opinion of him will certainly change. There is no doubt that she won't touch him like this after learning what he is really like. What kind of person he has to be when he goes on jobs as Lucifer's right hand.
"So, do you mind if I ask you a few questions? Oh not now, but next time I bring you to the base?"
"Like an interrogation?" Toh caressed her back and Sumire nodded. His lips curved to a smirk. "If it's you interrogating me, I won't mind."
Sumire rolled her eyes. "What kind of interrogation are you thinking about?" Sumire asked interested.
"Something fun and interesting." Toh trailed off. "Maybe we should try it out?"
"I think we can." Sumire nodded. "But, I still have to put on the show of a cold and vicious leader. So-"
"It's fine, we all wear masks."
He didn't think she would agree so easily, but Sumire has proven on more than one occasion that she trusts him. If it was before he realized he was truly in love with her then he would have told her that she was being foolish and naive. But, knowing that she trusts him makes him happy.
"I know but, I truly don't like the person I have to become when I play the role as the Holy knights demon Princess." Sumire trailed off. "We all wear masks. But I am tired of weaning this mask of fear."
"But, you won't stop?"
"It's a bit too late to stop now. I have made far too many enemies. If I remove the mask now, I will be preyed on and won't be able to protect the people I care for." Sumire brushed her forehead against his. "Earlier, I protected you. But just barely. I was terrified when I saw that you had stepped into the room. I summoned a spirit blade without thinking, and I showed Aki-san another weakness. I think he suspected that I cared a lot for you but he truly didn't know how much until then."
"Isn't he your ally?" Toh wondered.
"He is, but make no mistake. Allies and friendships in the underworld can be fragile, especially ones in large organisations like the Holy knights. For now, he feels the need to protect and defend me since I am his ward. But, who knows how long that will last?"
It isn't going to be easy to change her opinion. But, one day he wants her to gradually accept and see the love others have for her. Aki's behaviour may be extreme. However, there is no doubt that Aki truly cares for her.
Toh felt Sumire's gaze on his chest, and much lower and her cheeks flushing red. She hesitantly reached over and ran her fingers through his hair. Then she starts to explore, her fingers touched his jaw, then behind his ear, and then at his neck.
He groaned. "What are you doing?"
"Mm, exploring. Are you sensitive here?" Sumire asked as she continued to stroke his neck.
"Yeah, it's a sensitive spot of mine." Toh's lips curve to a smile. "How far will you explore today?"
Sumire glanced down. "Mm, I want to go a bit further today." She paused. "But, do you mind? I don't want you thinking I am doing this for a distraction or anything."
"I don't mind you being a distraction." Toh trailed off. "In fact, I find myself eagerly waiting for your experiments."
Sumire laughed. "I know your serious when you say that." She trailed off. I know you don't blame me for what happened today. But, I really want to make it up to you. Is there something I can do for you?"
Something she can do for him huh? There are plenty of things and that's the issue. This isn't the first time she has made this offer. But the problem is, the things he wants are definitely too explicit for her. Although she has been doing more exploring, she is still fairly innocent.
Sumire's cheeks coloured. "W-well, I think I know what you want. But, you have to tell me first so I can do some research."
Research. Right, she does that a lot whenever they get too intimate.
Toh shakes his head. "Like I mentioned when we first started dating. No even before then. I will never do anything you don't wish. You are in control, I want you to remember that always."
Besides, even if she has been experimenting. He understands how touches still frighten her. He needs to be careful, otherwise she may think he is pushing her to a corner.

Toh exits the bathroom a few minutes after her. He wanted to clear his mind and get rid of his issue. The problem with bathing together is her feeling him becoming hard and aroused. It didn't surprise him when she suddenly decided to leave. He re-entered the room and finds Sumire practicing swings with a familiar white blade. Unlike earlier, she wasn't swinging with aggression.
His room doesn't have much furniture, but that didn't stop Sumire from moving a few items out of the way.
Sumire turned to him. "Toh."
"If you were going to get all sweaty again. I'm sure we could have done that back in the bathroom." Toh joked.
Sumire laughed softly. "Right, I suppose we could have. But, we can do that all day tomorrow."
Toh blinked at her suggestion and she laughed softly. "I mean, that is one of the things you wanted to do with me right?"
"Indeed, but-" Toh hesitated. Maybe it's still too much for her.
"I think, I want to try it. But err." Sumire laughed again. "If-I want to rest. You will allow me won't you?"
"Of course. Consent remember."
He will never do anything she doesn't want.
