The hammer-wielding cadet slowly nodded with an understanding expression on his rather bloodied face in response to what was said as several thoughts with underlying consequences came to mind at once, plaguing him with a few things he'd rather not have come to mind.
Due to this phenomenon occurring at this point in time, without knowing it, the hammer-wielding cadet began to resent himself. At least, more specifically, he began to resent his weakness.
He had done everything to overcome it. Sure he wasn't like that genius that was touted to be a cut above the rest.
He was just an ordinary guy with ordinary stats hoping to make a name for himself someday. This was the hope for several cadets that were just like him.
They all wanted to be heroes. They all wanted to show that even with their glaring weaknesses, even with how slow they were, they would still be able to make a difference.
