Zach was still contemplating what to do when the three members of Syphiruz Syndicate had started to move.
One man proceeded to the First Class Cabin, the shortest guy among the three went to the control room of the train while the tallest guy went to the opposite side.
Zach was about to ask Ryuki when he noticed that he was no longer by his side.
"Eh? Where is Ryuki?"
Zach stood from his seat and began looking for his demon pet. He was puzzled where he wandered off at times like this.
Upon checking the other parts of the train, Zach saw Ryuki flying around. He looked like playing or rather he was entertaining a several months old baby.
A baby was being held by her mother. She saw how the baby flashed her cute smile, showing two dimples on both sides of her cheeks.
She was being entertained by Ryuki who was flying just above her.
"Eh, the baby can see Ryuki? So she can also see me?"
Zach peered at his surroundings. He could see that lots of children and old people boarded this train.
Conflicting thoughts appeared inside his mind. He frowned deeply as he was not supposed to care about these strangers. When he was alive before, he never felt any pity for others. He just cared about himself and his well-being.
'Who cares if they will die when the Syphiruz Syndicate blows up this train?" Zach thought to himself.
But unknowingly, Zach began to care about what would happen with these civilians. It was the work of his angelic system. It was somehow affecting his emotions and feelings so that Zach would try to accomplish his first quest.
"Damn?! Is there no other way? Should I really need to save these people? But how?"
'No, you should not get involved! Just wait for this tragedy to happen and collect evil points!' His inner self had spoken to him.
Zach was still having an internal battle when they heard an announcement coming from the different speakers installed inside the train.
The member of the Syphiruz was able to take over the communication devices and seize control of this train.
"Listen, everyone! This is a very important announcement. Please pay attention to what I am about to say."
The passengers didn't know what was going on. Some were confused and some just ignored the voice.
"This train is now under the control of Syphiruz. If you want to stay alive, then you should cooperate with us!"
The passengers who were nonchalant a while ago started to feel alarmed and nervous as they heard the name Syphiruz. It was an infamous organization that could bring intense fear with just a mere mention of its name.
"My comrade and I planted bombs in the different parts of this train. But don't worry, we will not detonate it as long as your beloved government will comply with our demands. We will see how much they love their citizens."
A sinister laughter echoed inside the train. The man was surely enjoying this situation.
When people heard the word bombs almost everyone started to panic. The female attendants had to intervene to calm the passengers down.
Panicking would not do them good in this time of crisis. The attendants tried to pacify the nervous and anxious crowd inside the train.
Zach could only shake his head as he watched the people shivering in fear. They didn't want to die. But there was no way they could escape from this moving train.
Angelique reminded Zach about his mission by flashing a timer. It showed the countdown for the remaining time left in accomplishing his quest. He only had 45 minutes left.
"Damn! 15 minutes passed by too quickly."
"So ladies and gentlemen, just sit back and enjoy. Wait for our further announcement. We will now negotiate with your government. I believe they already got the news about Syphiruz hijacking one of the fastest trains in this country!"
On the TV screens inside the train, the passenger could see the different media networks that were now covering the current situation. Some of the reporters received a real-time update about this hijacking incident.
Zach was also focused on the TV screen, listening to the news coverage. It was a live broadcast.
According to the reporters, the Syphiruz Syndicate was demanding the government to release some of their high-ranking members that were caught by police ten years ago. If they won't cooperate and yield to their demand, the Syphirus would blow up this bullet train. They only had 40 minutes left to decide.
"What?!! 10 years ago? Does it mean 10 years have already passed since I died from that accident?" Zach blurted out exasperatedly.
He could still remember that those high-ranking members were caught by the police because of the whistleblower he killed before he died.
Many high-ranking members of the Syphiruz Syndicate were put in jail because of that man. It was the main reason the Syphiruz ordered the hit to kill that whistleblower. That was his last mission before he died as a human assassin, Dark Shadow.
"What are you going to do now, Zach? Your time is running out." Angelique's voice echoed in his ears.
"Do you want to experience being struck by lightning?" Angelique added, threatening Zach.
Zach narrowed his eyes while clenching his fists. 'Damn you, Angelique! You are always leaving me with no choice!'
Without wasting more time, Zach had decided to make his move. He moved to the first-class cabin first where he saw one member of Syphiruz.
He saw him holding his gun as he tried to collect money and jewelry from the wealthy passengers. He instructed them to put their valuables inside his black backpack.
"Tsk tsk tsk. A terrorist and a thief! Ok, let me try to knock this man out first!"
Zach tried to attack the man but to no avail, nothing happened. He had no human body right now. He was like a hollow spirit. He couldn't even touch him nor any object there.
"Damn! It doesn't work. I guess I should try using Angel's Lullaby."
But Zach noticed that while the man continued collecting valuables and robbing those passengers, his demon ring was also absorbing evil points.
A mischievous smile appeared on Zach's face as an idea popped up in his mind.
'Alright, let me collect some evil points from this man first before knocking him down. Hahaha. I still have enough time.'
