"Daughter?" Calvin repeated the headmaster's words with a perplexed face.
Calvin turned to look at the girl seated next to the headmaster.
It was only then did Calvin notice the similarities between the girl he had hit and the headmaster.
The girl named Sabrina possessed the same onyx eyes her father did, along with that rugged aura her father was famous for.
Calvin also noticed some minor details like how the girl came out unscathed even though she crashed into the desk at high speeds.
'Body Enhancement Magic…She has used it well.' Calvin nodded his head in acknowledgement when he noticed traces of magic surrounding the girl like a barrier.
"Seeing that you understand, could you please tell me about Ivan's entrance exams?"
"Yes Sir…" Calvin nodded before he began retelling Ivan's journey of how he passed Jumper Academy's entrance exams from his perspective.
It was evening when Calvin left the headmaster's office.
He walked through the quiet hallways, passed the empty classes and arrived at the school's gate once more.
He looked at the setting sun for a moment before he called a carriage and rode it into town.
Seishi was only active during the day.
At night, nobody went out so it looked like a ghost town. This however, made Calvin happy.
It was only when he visited Seishi did he get to enjoy the quietness of a sleeping town.
'If only my life could be this peaceful, this quiet…'
By the time he realized, he had already walked past the town and was now standing in front of a set of steps.
It was the same set of steps that Ivan used to get up and down the mountain.
Without thinking much, Calvin started to walk up the steps. He soon disappeared into the thick forest.
Hours went by before he finally reached the end of the steps. The steps led him into a clearing in the forest.
Metal hitting metal could be heard from the center of the clearing.
What greeted him next was an iron sword flying at him at high speed.
"Uncle, look out!"
The iron sword was about to pierce his skull when Calvin used his right hand to block.
"Clang!" The iron sword shattered upon impact, leaving only the hilt of the sword to fall on the ground.
It was only then did Calvin wake up from his stupor.
'What the? Why am I here?' He looked around his surroundings with a confused look.
He was certain he was still walking about in the town.
A child no older than 10 years old was running towards him. In fact, he recognized the child.
"Ivan? Ahhh, my head hurts…" Clutching his head tightly, Calvin groaned.
He had walked up a mysterious set of stairs before he arrived at this place. Adding on, Ivan was here as well.
"Uncle! Uncle! Are you alright?" The 10 year old boy looked at him with concern.
Ivan had a bandage with him as if he knew someone was going to get hurt.
"Where…Where is this place?" Calvin took a deep breath before he proceeded to ask.
He knew that this place was special, and he felt that Ivan could provide him the answers he was looking for.
"Where is this? You're in my family's territory. This is my family's training garden."
"Your family's territory? As in this part of the forest?"
"No, the whole mountain. Didn't you see a sign placed at the entrance of the mountain? It was clearly written that this mountain was the property of the Chaos Family."
"Eh?"
"Yeah, it's so cool! Come on, I'll show you around!"
Thus, without waiting for his caretaker's response, Ivan grabbed Calvin's hand before he ran into the forest with his caretaker.
Calvin, who had just stopped an iron sword with his bare hands, was too shocked by Ivan's statement to realize he was being pulled around like a doll.
By the time he had regained his senses, the sun had started rising in the east.
Not only did Ivan pull his caretaker to every clearing available in the forest, the child had also brought Calvin to go see several majestic looking waterfalls and cliffs.
By then, daylight had begun to seep through the gaps between the leaves.
It was only then did Ivan bring Calvin back to his house.
Fatigue soon caught up with the boy, forcing his knees to buckle just when he was about to enter his house.
Calvin quickly caught him before he placed Ivan on the sofa.
"Go to sleep first. We'll talk about your preparations later at noon." Calvin sternly said.
Ivan soon collapsed after that.
"His family owns an entire mountain, eh? I wonder who his parents were? To acquire a mountain from the headmaster, they must've been some really powerful wizards…" Calvin thought to himself,
And as he looked around the boy's house, his eyes landed on a photo atop the fireplace.
The photo contained a man, a woman holding a baby, and Headmaster Na in it.
Calvin couldn't help but reveal a look of shock, because he recognised the other two adults in the photo.
"King of Witches? Wizarding Queen? No way…Ivan's parents are my idols!" Calvin exclaimed.
King of Witches as well as Wizarding Queen were both famous Wizard Kings within the wizarding world.
But their legend ended years ago after they were deployed by Ishgar to fight an entire nation by themselves.
Despite them succeeding in wiping the enemy nation off the map, the two Wizard Kings were severely injured and did not have much time to live.
No one knew that the two Wizard Kings had a child, according to Calvin's memories that is.
But looking at the photo atop the fireplace, Calvin began to have doubts against the current records.
"I wonder what other secrets the nation has been keeping against us wizards…" Calvin fell deep into thought until Ivan woke up hours later.
