Thinking about Elijah got the darkness to remember a little bit of his humanity. A weakness that he had worked so hard to bury under the rug of his feet. The man that had captured his heart and taught him the meaning of love.
He was the reason that he started to see the darkness in the humans that were cruel. Only that memory of the two of them remained in his mind. Everything else about the man was fuzzy in his mind.
Deep down in his heart, he was aware that for the man he would have given his very existence. He was aware that the humans took Elijah away from him, and thus his hatred for them grew more and more.
