Probably sensing the change in him, she decided to change her question. She must have seen that he was struggling, so she quickly asked. "What was your mother like?" Avana looked at him with those kind eyes.
"Do you remember much about her?" She asked again when he failed to respond to her first question.
What did he remember about her? Adam thought about it as he closed his eyes. He needed to think about his mother, hoping the growing fire in him would subside, just seeing her image in his mind.
However, the thought of his mother's death still lingered in his consciousness. Despite how much he only wanted to think of her face, another memory reminded him of her.
He recalled how his mother would defend their enemies against his father. He could still hear clearly how his mother would talk about them, using her soft voice, with fondness when he was young.
