After breakfast, Adam asked her to follow him. She thought they were joining the others in the study room, but she could see they had passed the entrance and gone straight to the back exit.
"What are you up to?" Avana curiously asked, finding his bizarre behavior puzzling. She realized maybe she still had a lot to learn about him. She barely knew much about him except for the essential things.
"You will find out soon enough." He told her, deciding that it was time he shared a few things about himself and his secrets with her.
If they would trust each other and make this arranged marriage work, he would have to open up to her. Their full cooperation was necessary if they would save their families and friends from this war.
