Chapter 143 - CXLIII

"What are you giving him?" He heard his mother shout at his father. He was too sick to move, but he could clearly understand their argument.

He wanted to open his eyes, but it was too heavy. He wished to tell them to stop because he was ok, but his lips refused to respond to his command. His hands and legs seemed to fail him too. 

"What made you think that I am doing something bad to our son?" King Charles answered his wife back.

He could determine from his tone that he was not happy with how his mother was shouting at him. He was the King, and nobody was supposed to raise a voice against him.

But his mother seemed not to care as she appeared worried about him. He knew his mother would always think of what was best for him. He guessed all mothers were supposed to be like that.
