Chapter 117 - CXVII

"What took you so long?" Elisia concernedly asked as Isaac walked back to the camp as if nothing had happened, whistling with a piece of fresh meat in his hands. 

He had no traces of blood on his clothing, no signs of struggle. Elisia could only wonder what happened out there. She could only come up with conclusions from what she had observed so far.

She might not have seen him fight those beasts, but she had heard his shouts and their growls as they fought for dominance. At the time, she had no idea if she was rooting for the beast or for him to win. 

Still, she felt relieved to see him come out of it alive. But, it did not mean she was happy about the fate of those beasts in his hands, looking at the big slab of flesh he carried with him.
