Julia drank one glass of alcohol as she glanced in the direction where Victor stood in the middle of the crowd. She glared at his lips that smiled while talking to the ladies surrounding him. How wonderful! That man could even smile like that.
She didn't know he had it in him to smile so gently at other people! Who the heck was the wife?! Those ladies?!
Julia sneered and turned her head as she raised her head toward the bartender. "Give me one more."
The man behind the counter had found out about her identity after seeing the commotion outside in front of the hotel's banquet hall on the hotel's ground floor. So he was particularly cautious while dealing with her.
If this girl happened to get drunk and were hurt by someone, fingers would be pointed at his face. He also knew how ruthless the alpha was! If people were fooled by seeing that gentle smile on Victor's face, they should go and commit suicide!
The bartender took a deep breath and handed the third glass of alcohol to the lady in front of him. If he could, he wanted to refuse, but he didn't dare to.
He could only sit here and keep an eye on her so that others wouldn't take advantage of her.
As he sat there, he noticed the girl's face flushing as she lowered her head, followed by a hiccup. She rubbed her face and frowned. "Why the hell am I wearing make-up?"
Was she drunk? The bartender took a deep breath and said, "Mrs. Bush, you're in the banquet. That's why you are wearing make-up." From his experience, if he continued to chat with drunk people, they wouldn't make too much trouble.
But contrary to his expectations, as soon as he uttered those words, she raised her head and glared at him. "Who's Mrs. Bush?! Who wants to be his wife!?"
She got up and waved her hand. "You're a bad person to connect me with that person! I don't want to talk to you!"
The bartender was stunned as he glanced at her face. He couldn't help but feel his heart sinking. At this time, he didn't think that there was anything wrong with the relationship between the alpha and his newly married wife. He only assumed that it could be the lovers' spat.
Before he could catch her, she disappeared into the crowd.
Alright, now he was officially in big trouble.
On the other side, a drunk Julia walked with her face flushed in Victor's direction. Before she could take a step, she bumped into someone, falling to the ground with a thud. "Ow!"
She raised her head and glared at the person in front of her. "How dare you!"
The man who bumped into her frowned, but when he saw her, a big smile formed on his lips. "Sister-in-law!"
Julia tilted her head innocently as she stared at the man with black hair and brown eyes. "Who are you?"
"I'm Mason Bush, Victor's cousin!" He grabbed her hand and pushed her up. "I have been willing to see you for the entire day, but brother didn't let me! Now, I finally got to see the lady that snatched his heart."
As soon as drunk Julia heard that name, her facial muscles contorted as she glared at Mason. "Get the hell out of here! I hate him!"
Mason tilted his head in confusion. Just as he was about to open his mouth, he heard a familiar voice. "What are you doing?"
The cousin jumped after hearing such a cold voice. He glanced back only to see Victor looking at the hand still holding Julia's arms. Mason's eyes widened as he stepped back and waved his hand before laughing nervously. "Bro, it's not what you think it is. I just helped her up."
Victor's face wasn't good when he noticed how his contract wife held hands with his cousin. Even though the latter was stupid, he shouldn't have done that in front of so many people.
After taking a deep breath, he glared at the man beside Julia and said through his gritted teeth, "Get lost!"
Mason nodded and walked away, leaving the two husband and wife behind to stare at one another.
Victor's expressions darkened when he looked at the drunkard in front of his eyes. He shouldn't have left her alone. Just in ten minutes, she managed to get drunk! He took a deep breath to control himself.
Now that things had happened, he should stop her from saying a single word. He grabbed her hand and started dragging her toward the main gate of the banquet. He didn't care whether this banquet failed or not. He had already announced to the reports that he had got married to this girl. So his purpose was achieved.
Even if his grandfather got angry, he could make an excuse that his wife wasn't feeling well. So he had to return home.
But apparently, the girl had some other ideas in her head. She took her hand back and stepped back while glaring at Victor. Then she opened her mouth and said, "You bully! How can you do this to me?"
The corners of Victor's lips twitched. He rubbed his forehead. "What the heck did I do?"
"You poured a bucket of red paint on my body! Do you know how hard it is to rub it all off?!"
Victor's eyes narrowed. "Julia, do you know where we are?"
"Of course!" The girl's face was filled with pride at this time. "At our farewell party!"
Victor rubbed his forehead as if he were trying to suppress his anger. If he remembered correctly, he had also met a certain drunkard babbling similar words to him at the farewell party twenty years ago. Did she have a habit of turning into a teenager whenever she drank?
Back then, he hadn't had the patience to handle her, so he threw her to the ground and escaped the party. But now, he couldn't do that anymore because he was the host and this was his contracted wife!
He took a deep breath and tried to make his voice as gentle as possible. "Dear, let's go home. You have drunk too much, okay?"
Julia waved her hand as she turned back. "I'm not going. I have to get revenge." While walking, she stumbled on her way and fell to the ground again. Everyone around them had started to snap videos and pictures of this wonderful scene. How could they miss out on the alpha and his wife making a gossip in the middle of a banquet party?
