However, instantly, both Kashi and Ai stood in their battle stances, glaring deadly at Yan, as Ai demanded, "Where's Ary? What have you done to him?"
Yan had already explained that he had switched places with Ary just to harness the power of the former God of Death, which was coursing through Ary's veins. Yet, Ai found it quite suspicious since, from her perspective, Inner Demon was a fickling race whom you shouldn't trust no matter what.
"Heh, naive mortals." Yan giggled and gazed at them with his glinting crimson eyes, replying, "I wonder why you guys are so overprotective. Perhaps that's one of the reasons why Ary won't grow up the way he should."
Completing his words, Yan grinned devilishly and pointed at his chest, revealing,
"Ary is right here, in his peaceful state."
