"Human, you aren't a dragon, are you?"
The question surprised Damien.
First off, even he couldn't logically see himself as a human anymore, so it was nice hearing someone else say it.
Second, though Damien did indeed have some dragon in him at some point, it had been a long time since his race had changed into something beyond existing terms.
That draconic bloodline was already gone, turned into nothing more than an ability that Damien hadn't used in ages.
"I'm not. Why are you asking?"
He was genuinely curious. He took steps closer to the beast without realizing, but the beast didn't react, likely due to his blatant absence of hostility.
"That does not make any sense. If you are not a dragon, then what are you?" The beast asked, perplexed beyond belief.
"Let's just say that I'm a human who's a little special. Now then, why are you so adamant about me being a dragon?" Damien pressed again.
