Chapter 9 - Him

She looked to her right to see the watchmen.

"Don't worry, I was only here to visit a friend's grave. I fulfilled her last wish today. Now she can rest in peace," she signed looking at the sky.

A start shined at the same time.

"See, she's saying yes by shining," she said looking up.

"That's a good thing. Unfulfilled wishes are like sad stories. May everyone gets their happy endings," the watchmen smiled.

"I will take my leave now."

"Be careful on your way back home."

"I am not scared of ghosts. They used to be humans made of blood and flesh just like us. It's their harmless souls," she said chuckling a little.

"I am talking about humans, my daughter. We, humans, are the worst of all. You should stay alert around them."

"I am the most dangerous one then," Eleena said before starting to walk.

She started walking aimlessly with no intention to go back home.

She noticed a little stall and decided to grab herself something to eat.

When she went closer, she noticed that it was lakeside. A lot of small stalls were placed in a long line.

She decided to enter the first one she noticed.

"Excuse me, I will have a few shots and two spicy ramen with grilled chicken wings," she ordered before sitting in a chair.

"Here you go," a waiter said before placing her order in front of her.

Her stomach growled at the sight of so much food and she realized that she hasn't had anything the entire day.

She was starving.

She started filling up her stomach with food.

Soon after she was done having her food. Only the shots were remaining.

"I can see that you want her just as much as I do. Don't worry, you can have her after I am done. All of us can share her one by one." The same lines came into her mind.

Her eyes turned red in a second.

She gulped down the first shot in one go.

Flashes passed one by one. But the clearest one was still there.

Flashback:

Eleena was merely 17 back then, living like a Cinderella.

Her life was just like a fairytale. She met him on in her college. He was her senior.

They instantly clicked and that's when her life changed for the better.

Her sad face changed with a happy one.

She was living her best life with him, even though she was suffering through a lot of things.

One day he called her, asking if she wanted to meet up with him in his father's main house.

She was aware of his mafia ways and their parents were partners.

She also knew that he wasn't aware of her being a wolfless werewolf. He didn't even know that she was not an human.

She knew the roads almost too perfectly to the main house.

She got in her car and left as soon as possible. She was super excited to meet with him.

They haven't seen each other for the last few weeks as he was outside of the country.

She greeted the guards before stepping inside with a feeling she couldn't explain.

She was happy and excited as she was going to meet him after such a long time but at the same time, she could feel like something bad was going to happen.

Her anxiety was slowly growing up and she could feel sweat build all over her body.

"It's nothing, Eleena. You are worrying for nothing. It's going to be alright, love. Just think positively," she started repeating the words to calm herself down.

But that feeling wasn't going away. She felt like crying but somehow hold herself.

She stood before his cabin, the room she was more familiar with, even more than her own room.

"Are you seriously going to break up with her?" A voice said.

She knew that voice. It was Isaac Black, his best friend, and bodyguard.

"Yes, I am going to break up with her. Her father is the biggest scu*bag known to the human being. Had it not been her grandfather who helped my grandfather back then, they won't have been here at all. They don't deserve such fame and luxury. They are greedy people and she's nothing but a gold digger. And she was just there to distract my mind. Nothing else."

Her heart sank as she realized who he was talking about, her.

She couldn't believe that the lips that uttered nothing but sweet words for her would go as far as to break her heart like this.

"If she's that low in your eyes then why did you make her your girlfriend in the first place?"

Frustration was clear in Isaac's tone.

"To make her father understand his worth. I used his daughter and now, he won't be able to do anything about it. He will still have to follow my father's words like a dog because he got no power of his own. Every time he would come here for business, he would remember how weak and pathetic he is!"

"But she's innocent in this. She never did anything to you."

"To get what you want, you need to sacrifice an innocent human every time. You should have learned it by now. And she's far away from being an innocent girl."

"But she's in love with you!"

"Love? She loves my money. Have you seen how her eyes lit up every time I give her something expensive?"

"That's because she got this from you. She's in love with you! Hence, gifts given by you are desirable to her. That's totally normal. You should forget all of these and live your life happily with her."

"But I don't love her. I can see that you want her. Don't worry, you can have her now that I am done. My fiancee is coming back. I will get married to her. I don't have any place for her in my life."

She couldn't believe that he would utter such words for her. And her heart started hurting when she heard that he has a fiancee.

"I always knew that you are cruel but I never thought that you would have such disgusting thoughts. She is like a sister to me. All she did was make a mistake and that mistake is falling in love with a jerk like you. She deserves someone thousands of times better than you!"

Isaac shouted before pulling the door with a heavy thud.

His eyes widened as soon as they felt on her's one.

"Eleena."
