Annalise was ready to pull away completely from the man but was stopped as Valerius' hands tightened around her and he pulled her back against his body.
She opened her mouth to speak but her words were cut off by a soft sensation against her lips. Instead of words, a gasp escaped her mouth as she returned the kiss. All the resistance left her body in seconds as she melted against him.
