The snow fell in heavy curtains outside the castle, blanketing the world in a serene white tapestry. It was late in the evening and the Castle was filled with a calm silence as everyone had retired to their rooms after an early dinner.
In one of the many guest chambers on the second floor, the warmth and glow of lanterns illuminated Leela's bed-chamber.
Ezra's knuckles rapped lightly on the door, resonating through the thick silence. He had initially planned to sleep early but as soon as his body hit the bed and he closed his eyes, his mind couldn't help but think about a certain person. Not wanting to torture himself, he just decided to meet that very person.
As if in response to his presence, the door swung open, guided by Leela's water magic. He stepped in, feeling the magic embrace him like a welcoming hug.
