As the sun's first rays painted the sky, Annalise and Valerius made their way from the Cursed Castle to the grand palace of the Seelie Empire.
Even though it was early in the morning, the streets were bustling as people prepared to start their day.
The carriage stopped in front of the entrance of the familiar palace and Valerius helped Annalise to climb down before the two of them headed inside.
The palace guards bowed respectfully as they entered the opulent hall where the King awaited.
"Annalise, Valerius," the King greeted, his eyes curious. "It's been a while. What brings you here?"
Valerius stepped forward, his tone firm yet respectful. "Your Majesty, this is a letter from the Midnight Queen. Please have a look." He handed the letter to the King before settling down in the chair next to Annalise.
