"You seem too lost," Damien stated as he walked down the couple of steps and headed straight to the bed where Annalise was sitting with her gaze fixed on the night sky visible from the open window. She really enjoyed gazing at the moon and the stars every chance she got.
Annalise turned her attention toward her husband as a bright smile bloomed on her lips as soon as her gaze landed on him. Despite being the holder of shadow magic, he only made her feel positive and bright.
"Have you ever wondered exactly how beautiful the Seelie Realm was? Exactly how powerful the light faes were, especially the Light Fae Queen?" She found herself asking him tge question that had been swirling through her mind ever since her meeting with Pristine during the noon.
Damien took a seat next to her on the bed before he responded, "Why are you wondering about such things all of a sudden?" He didn't sound confused, nor was there any judgment in his tone, only curiosity.
