"Why is she still here?" Annalise raised the question in front of her husbands when her gaze found Leela packing up for their journey back along with Ezra, Marley, and Crown Prince Elijah.
"She's coming along," Damien answered as he took hold of her hand and pulled her to sit on his lap, a sudden action that made Annalise wary of her surrounding. "What are you doing, My Lord? There are so many people here."
Before Damien could reply, a sudden soft but powerful voice pulled Annalise's attention toward Valerius, who was sitting right beside her with his attention fixed on some sort of a very ancient-looking scroll that he had been reading ever since they returned from the Palace an hour or so ago.
"Be more observant, Annalise." Valerius didn't spare her even a single glance, but she knew that he was more of teaching her instead of criticizing her. Besides, it seemed like whatever scroll he was currently reading was something really important.
