Annalise was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard movement outside in the hallway. She hurriedly put back everything in the pouch before securely placing the pouch inside her previous pouch that was still dangling on her waist before she moved toward the door of her room right as someone started knocking on it.
As she opened the door, she was surprised to find a very angry-looking Leela standing there. The girl barged inside as room as the door opened, leaving one of the dragon shifters, who had followed her to the room, standing there at the entrance.
Annalise quickly shared a look between the two of them before she turned her full attention to the man and questioned, "What's going on? What happened to her?"
The man let out a deep sigh as he shook his head before answering. "Don't worry too much, My Lady. It's just the usual shit between her and Ezra. It seems like these two are born to piss each other off. I'll be taking my leave now."
