Being left behind while the dark lords would head to visit the Queen of the Mer Court, definitely didn't seem like a good plan to Annalise. She was also curious to see the Mer court and meet the Seelie blood that seemed to have survived the great tragedy ten thousand years ago.
Yet looking at her husbands' reaction, it was pretty clear that they had no plans of taking her along with them, and Valerius' next words only confirmed her guess. "Not today, Annalise. We have something important to take care of right now. How about you look around the town in the meanwhile and meet the locals here? This place is protected by the powerful wards of the Mer Queen, so you will be safe here."
Annalise let out an unhappy sigh as she watched her husbands ride away on their horses as they headed in the direction of the mountains right behind the town where the magnificent waterfalls were located.
