"Something is quite odd about this one, wouldn't you say so as well?" Akina asked Hakki with a confused look on her face. "Yeah, you are correct. I can sense that he is not quite human, but not quite spirit as well." The fifth Kyoshi spirit said as he squinted.
"W-Wait! Do not shoot those arrows at me!" It was a blonde haired young boy, he did not even look to be enrolled in university. He straight up looked like a high schooler. Hakki stared straight at him, keeping his guard up, until he noticed that the boy was actually able to see him as well.
The little boy fell to the ground and shouted. "Hey! Keep it down!" She tried to stop the boy from shouting but it was too late. "T-There is a ghost!" he said while pointing at Hakki.
"Hey, that is a bit of a derogatory term, you know? I am a Kyoshi spirit, if you do not know!" Hakki had no boundaries and was even ready to argue against a mere child.
Akina glared at him as she shook her head. "What is your name?" She asked. "G-Genya. Genya Ryoya." The sniveling kid said as he wiped the snot running down his nose with his sweater.
"Are you telling me that you can see that creepy looking man right there?" Akina said as she pointed towards Hakki, trying to make sure that he just was not hallucinating or something.
Genya nodded insistently. "That creepy man is still there…" the boy said as he repeatedly scratched his eyes, hoping that it was just some sort of optical illusion.
"Come on, Akina! Give me a bit of credit here, I might be thousands of years old but I still have feelings, you know?!" Hakki said comically as he shouted out.
The two of them looked at him with the blankest expressions possible. "Now he just seems weird." Genya added.
"You are not that far off with that observation, kid." Akina said to Genya. "So, can you explain why he can see you as well?" Genya was about the ask her the same thing, but Hakki stepped in and made the boy hide behind Akina.
"Hm. This one is another instance of a botched possession as well. The same as what happened with me and you." Hakki said as he placed his hands on his chin. "Tell me, kid. You felt something hit your head or something just a couple of minutes ago, right?" Hakki asked the terrified looking high schooler.
"Y-Yeah. That is exactly how I felt. After that, I could see some really creepy things all of a sudden…like you, for instance." Genya added, which almost made Hakki lose all his calm.
"Wait, if you are saying that Genya got possessed by another Kyoshi spirit, how come I nor you are not able to see him or her?" Akina asked Hakki.
"You are speaking far too soon, Akina." Hakki blurted out as another spirit was slowly manifesting itself as it was coming out of Genya's back, absolutely terrifying the boy more than he ever had been.
