Chapter 7 - Desolate

Racket laughed in a hoarse voice before Kate lifted her leg, throwing it into the man's stomach. He felt the collision of her leg and his abdomen before he lurched forward. He let go of the woman's hair, dropping her to the floor. Dottie gasped as she watched, she placed her hands on Racket's shoulders. Racket leaned to the side as red blood spilled from his mouth and onto the ground, he had thrown up blood.

Dottie patted his back erratically before turning to her victim who was on the ground, bleeding from the back of her head due to the excessive hair pulling. Grace tried to crawl over to Kate, sobbing extremely. Dottie eyed the two girls before comforting Racket who was coughing and heaving. "God! SHE KICKED ME SO HARD!" He yelled angrily as he pulled himself to a standing position. "I- I- I know… I saw! I-It was gross." Dottie would mutter with fear and sadness.

She looked at him before grabbing her pocket knife, she then stabbed Kate in her arm. "YOU IDIOT! YOU HURT MY BROTHER!" Dottie screamed. Kate screamed as she threw herself backward, trying to get away from the woman.

Dottie laughed hysterically as she swung her pocket knife at the woman, Grace was rubbing her restraints on a rusty pipe against the wall. She kept rubbing it, making her skin bloody and red. Grace had to get out and help Kate. She acted like she was helpless and scared to not look suspicious to anybody. Fake tears streamed down the girl's face as she faked, she tried to yell at Dottie.

Dottie stabbed Kate in the shoulder, aggressively. Crimson red liquid squirted and ran down the girl's shoulder and chest. It stained her gray long sleeve shirt, from neck to chest. She coughed and gagged as she placed her hand to touch the blood, she couldn't handle how much of the substance there was flowing from the wound. She hated the texture, even though it felt like water; she knew it wasn't.

Dottie cackled, Racket watched Kate bleed out of her shoulder as she screamed bloody murder. It sounded like she was being devoured by wolves, that's what it sounded like to Racket. Grace tried her best to look to the back of her, to see her hands and see if she got the rope cut from her rubbing. She winced in pain as she then moved her hands around, she noticed the rope was off. She was bleeding, cuts from her falling on the stairs beforehand, and then her rope-rubbing situation.

Grace looked at them before grabbing a shard of glass from the ground, She was still gagged and she pulled the gag out. Dottie and Racket noticed before they screamed, "HEY! HOW DID YOU GET OUT OF THE BINDS?!" Racket shouted with aggression and anger, he was astonished at her. She was trying so hard to survive when he expected her to give up once she was bound upstairs. Dottie bolted over, grabbing Grace by her wrists. Grace slashed at her hands and wrists, trying to get her to loosen her grip. Dottie screeched once she felt the shard slide across her wrist.

Grace felt the girl loosen her grip, she hyperventilated as she slashed at her more. Dottie backed up weakly, looking pale and dizzy. She held her wrist with desperation, watching it bleed. It severed her vein, and now she might hemorrhage. Racket looked at her as he grabbed the glass shard from her hands, trying to snatch it from her. It would take a lot because Grace was holding onto it tightly.

Kate lay in the corner, putting pressure on her shoulder, desperately trying to not watch Dottie's wrist flow blood. Dottie coughed and hiccuped as she started yelling in anger, losing consciousness. Grace stabbed Racket in his palm and swiped up, leaving a long gash against his hand. "GOD!" He yelled before he started screaming in agony. Grace desperately ran over to Kate, grabbing her by her arm and pulling her down the stairs. "CMON!" Grace screamed.

"W-We have to get out!-" Kate begged with terror as she looked at her, Grace grabbed her and helped her run. "That way! It seems like a garage!" She screamed. Grace began to breathe heavily as she held the bloody glass shard. The two girls opened the door, checking to see if this is what they thought it was.

They saw the horrors. There was their best friend, Nicole. Poor Nicky. "Nic… Nicky… Oh my god… We could have saved her!..." Kate called as she was on the verge of tears, fearing that they got Nicole killed for coming too late. She went with that little girl, Babee, and it got her killed. "This… This isn't our fault. It's nobody's fault, only this family and their disgusting intentions… Nicole had a big soft spot for children. That's what she did, she helped that girl who she thought was alone." Grace would explain how she viewed the situation. She breathed heavily, the girls stared at the woman's body on the meat hook.

Flies buzzed around Nicole, luckily, her body wasn't decayed yet. Grace walked over to her, before grabbing her wrist. She knew she was dead but she just wanted to see if she could get her off. "Rigor Mortis already settled in… We can't get her off the hook." She sighed as she turned around, looking for Kate. "Kate?" She called, not locating her. She walked around.

That's when she heard scraping, "WELCOME TO OUR HOME!" A sudden voice called. It was a man. Racket. Grace couldn't speak a sentence before her eyes widened and a shovel met with her skull. She got hit hard and went unconscious.
