Maxwell sat down beside her and held her hands.
“we were once engaged truly but she is not my first love or anything. She is just like a sister to me” he tried explaining.
“of course she is your fiancee but not your first love. Does that make any sense. Why will you be engaged to her without loving her?” she asked angrily.
“we were engaged since we were kids. Its just our parent wishfully thinking. But its did not work out so we break it off” he explained again.
“really? Why don’t I believe you? Who is your first love then?” she asked and face him. Maxwell did not want to tell her that he actually fell in love with her five years ago.
“why don’t we leave that topic. There is really nothing between us” he said.
“will you tell me or should I just leave” she said and get up to leave. Maxwell quickly stood up to hold her back.
