Merry had been in Mrs. Miller's office quite a number of times till now. It had made Merry somehow lower her guard.
It was not like she had started trusting Mrs. Miller, but she had become more comfortable talking to her.
She would freely talk about her being incapable of having any superpowers like her friends and her feelings around that. She would talk about her paintings.
In one of Merry's visit to Mrs. Miller, they had an unusual talk.
Mrs. Miller most of the times used to only listen to Merry and throw few questions here and there. And, if Merry had questions, she used to answer her.
Obviously, Merry didn't know if all the things Mrs. Miller had said were true or not. She could only listen and try to decipher.
In that particular session, Mrs. Miller asked Merry, "What was the last memory you had when you decided to stop taking those pills?" as soon as she entered Mrs. Miller's office.
