He kept looking at her face, as if he wanted to see some kind of reaction from her but her expression was blank.
He took a deep breath and continued, "Until we met, I was also confused. But when that day I returned to my room, I started paying more attention. The main thing that bothered me was that I was always so confused when I would wake up in the morning everyday. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't remember a thing. It was all foggy in my brain."
Just then a loud noise interrupted their conversation. She looked towards the direction of the noise.
Two people who were probably guards, rushed into the room and gestured the boy sitting next to her to come with them.
The boy stood up and began walking towards them. She still hadn't found anything about this place and the boy was going out of the room.
She panicked and started to follow him but the boy looked back and told her to sit down with his eyes. Then he left the room with them.
She waited and waited sitting there but even after all the kids fell asleep he didn't come back.
She also fell asleep, listening to the sound of the breaths of the kids in the quiet room.
People talking in a hushed manner woke her up. As soon as her eyes opened, she quickly got up from the bed and started to look around the room.
Some children who were clearly younger than her, were playing on the floor in the far corner of the room. They obviously didn't have any toys or dolls to play with. They were simply playing with each other, it looked like a tea party. The children were sitting in a circle and talking in a very low voice.
She turned her eyes away from them in search of that boy.
She couldn't see him so, she went from bed to bed to check if he was still sleeping but he wasn't there.
After some time, a person came into the room with small boxes which contained food and started distributing them among the children in the room.
She didn't know whether they will give food to them later, if she didn't eat the food right now so she took one box from him and sat on her bed and started eating it.
Even after some time had passed, the boy didn't return. She was losing hope that she would never know what's happening in that place.
Just then the door opened with a loud noise and he was sent flying into the room, like someone had pushed him. He kept his eyes on the ground till he reached his bed and lied down immediately.
She wanted to ask him so many things but something didn't seem right.
She decided to talk to him later.
