It was like going into an alternate universe, the man in the mirror staring back at me looked uncomfortable, he was in a stretch suit and some leather loafers.
"The hell was Li thinking…" I murmured to myself. Mark behind me cleared his throat.
"Maybe a slicked back hairstyle too, my king?"
Was this why it felt so wrong? I had to look at his reflection in the mirror just to see if he was serious.
He was serious.
The shoes and the suit arrived a while earlier inside a bag with a note from my brother, the note had one word on it: Important.
Important... he said.
He could have sent a phone in the bag and exchanged a few words with me about that, but no.
The note did say 'important'. I guess it was more than enough of an explanation in my brother's head.
I sighed.
"Can you help with that, the hair... I mean..."
His usually impassive face shouldn't brighten up this much because I asked him something like this. Then he composed his features again.
