Coach Samuel and I were shouting at each other, the music throbbed in my sensitive ears, and by the look on his face, his as well — I didn't want to think about how the wolves got the officials to play the damned song this loud!
I bet all the supernatural creatures that were present tonight were experiencing this pain. The only people having the time of their lives were the humans who were shouting and whistling.
All of it was for Sophie.
Two she-wolves were each grabbing their own left wrist with their own right hand and grabbing each other's wrists with their free hands right next to Sophie. A third she-wolf stood behind her. Sophie climbed on the intersection of their hands and bent down placing one hand on each of their shoulders, the she-wolf in the back steadied Sophie's ankles — her hands were so loose that I suppressed the urge to shout at her to get a better grip.
