I didn't know how to feel about the view in front of me. I stood there with no comment... The house that I left looking normal was decorated with many exterior lights.
"Two vampires and a werewolf…" Was he getting where I was going with this?
Li's face was red.
"A little familiarity can go a long way…" he threw a long accusatory look Joshua's way, the vampire had insisted on tagging along with us. I hoped I wasn't a replacement for his platonic runaway wife.
"Tell me that you have food in there," I begged Li while he was opening the door.
The smell hit me in all the right places…
Many types of poultry with cranberry sauce on the side, mashed potatoes and gravy, roast beef in the middle of all that… and I had no idea why, but three apple pies.
A sight for sore eyes.
I swallowed, "Where did all that come from?" I asked Li, happily amazed, Joshua chuckled next to me.
Li sighed, "A few she-wolves sent a few things when they heard that we celebrate…"
