Another sleepless night.
I got up, showered in a hurry, got dressed in a hurry, then tried to run away from all of it...
Run away from one thing really… Elizabeth. The present one, and the past one. Her horror-struck face as a little girl nestled in my eyes and appeared every time I blinked.
I felt crazy, but it was good —I was about to go and meet crazy in person now.
It was good that no one stopped me, I knew that everyone connected last evening with this morning too. It gave me a strange feeling of unity with the purebloods. And that reminded me.
Joshua was awfully quiet.
'I'll deal with him later,' I thought as I broke into a sprint.
The only good thing that happened yesterday was Sophia's reaction. She was already aware that I had moved into the vamps' coven. Apparently, she had just begun a tracking mission when she came across my scent fresh out of one of the mansion's rooms.
