"Daichi! How many times do I have to tell you napping in class is not permitted? I don't want to have to give you detention since you are always in on time and you manage to achieve good grades but you're making it awfully hard for me. See me after class."
--- --- --- --- ---
The school bell rang and everyone vacated the classroom, leaving only one boy left in the back of the class.
Min Daichi
To summarise in a school environment, he is a perfect pupil; he's always present, gets good grades, hands everything in by deadlines, etc.
And similarly out of school he's the perfect kid; he doesn't go out too often, he isn't involved in a bad crowd, and he doesn't smoke or drink even though he knew he could get away with it all.
There were only two features that were unfavourable about him.
He slept, constantly.
And he always did the bare minimum.
He'd rather sleep away the day than being involved in it which is how he would end up in trouble 90% of the time .
So obviously when everyone left the class he already knew the same old predictable speech that was coming his way.
His teacher Mrs Hui pulled up her chair from the front of the class and positioned it in front of Daichi's desk.
Daichi just sat back and waited already anticipating what was to come.
It was silent for a few moments before Mrs Hui let out a sigh and began talking.
"Daichi, we've been over this so many times already. You need to stop sleeping in class. You may be ahead now but you don't know what important points you're missing out on which you might not have thought of yourself..."
'Blah blah blah'
Daichi just mindlessly nodded and accepted like he always did, not thinking much about it until a file was banged on his desk.
"Thank you for consenting to do this favour for me Daichi, I'll let you off for sleeping this time for it. His name and address are on the files but you are presumably not going to see him because- you know what. You don't need to know. But everything you do need to know is on the front page inside. Thank you so much~"
Mrs Hui was skipping around the classroom happily as Daichi watched her confused.
He opened the file since his teacher was now mindlessly going on about her weekend plans and rapidly figured out that he was dropping work off.
He looked at it confused for a moment before reluctantly asking
"Why do I have to drop it off again?"
Since he wasn't listening.
Mrs Hui smiled happily at him before saying
"It's a penalty for sleeping in class which won't be on your record and because I'm occupied this weekend. It's not too far away so you'll be fine."
Daichi just looked at her as if to ask why she couldn't if it wasn't that far away but he knew better than to answer back to his elders since it only ever earned him an earful.
Daichi just nodded, looking at the address before standing up and leaving.
Daichi left with spontaneous thoughts flying through his head, but one kept repeating itself more than the others.
'Park Itsuki huh? He better does this work if I have to deliver it.'
