Outside, Todoroki carefully seated Aizawa on the sidewalk. He swiftly dropped to his knee, retrieving his first aid kit.
"Todoroki." Aizawa spoke up but was ignored. "You need to go back in there."
"You need medical treatment." Todoroki countered, placing gauze against the gash running over Aizawa's right eye.
"Midoriya needs back up."
"Midoriya told me to take care of you." Todoroki responded, "We are a team, each of us have our parts to play, and mine is treating your wounds."
"Midoriya can't handle (y.n) alone." Aizawa caught Todoroki's wrist in his hand. "Not when she's drugged up."
"Drugged up?"
"None of this is her fault." Aizawa restated, "She was injected with Trigger."
"Trigger?" Todoroki blinked, "The illegal substance that enhances quirks?"
"Yes."
"That explains how she was able to take control of my quirks." Todoroki mutters to himself.
"Listen to me-" Aizawa says, "-when you get back in there, remember this isn't a training session, you can't fight her like she's your friend, because right now, she isn't."
Back inside the room you had flipped positions with Midoriya—straddling him you had your hand wrapped around his neck.
"(y.n)-!" Midoriya coughed out, his side burning from the stab wound you had inflected. "-we are family!"
"We aren't friends-" You sneered in his face, "-and we damn sure ain't family!"
"(y.n)-" Midoriya gripped your forearm as you tightened your grip on his neck. "-you can fight it, you're stronger than it!"
A wicked smile crept across your face as an idea sparked in your mind. "Let me show you just how much I'm not." You taunted. Your eyes glowed a sinister yellow, and the shadow beneath Midoriya yawned open, swallowing his head into its inky abyss.
In that chilling darkness, Midoriya's senses were overwhelmed. The Deep's icy touch sent shivers down his spine as he frantically sought any anchor from this void. His trembling hands reached out, but you swiftly immobilized them under your unyielding knees.
Midoriya's resolve wavered as he could no longer hold his breath. With a gasp, he inhaled, and it felt as though searing acid flooded his lungs.
"(y.n)!" Midoriya cried out, coughing violently, he couldn't stop the reflexive hacking, his eyes tearing up as he thrashed his legs helplessly.
"I wouldn't breathe to much of that air in if I were you." The sinister grin remained across your face as you tilted your head, relishing the sight of blood trickling from between Midoriya's lips. "Remember, it's poisonous."
Midoriya's strength started to falter, his eyes locking onto yours, slowly closing as a fiery explosion erupted, tearing through the outer wall of the building and striking you in the side. The impact sent you rolling away from Midoriya.
Suddenly, Bakugo burst through the newly formed hole in the wall. Smoke swirled around his arms as he snatched Midoriya up by the front of his shirt.
"Oh, look who it is, the pretty boy." You called, rising slowly to your feet. Bakugo furrowed his brow, sensing the sinister undertone in your expression. "You still got that air freshener shoved up your ass?"
Bakugo smirked, his usual fiery confidence on full display. "How about you come over here and find out?" With that, he nonchalantly tossed the unconscious Midoriya over his shoulder and out through the blasted hole in the wall. Unbeknownst to you, Todoroki was waiting below to catch the green-haired hero.
Bakugo's brows furrowed in deep concern as he took in your malevolent appearance. A chill raced down his spine; his heart heavy with worry for you buried beneath this malevolent exterior.
"Aw, no heartwarming speech for me, Hero?" You taunted, your voice dripping with the sinister influence of the drug.
Bakugo clenched his jaw, regret gnawing at him. Instead of playing games with Midoriya and Shiro, he should be been by your side! You should never have been alone and exposed to this drug in the first place!
"Are you sure you wanna do this, Princess?" You took a menacing step closer, your gaze locked onto Bakugo. "Your teacher tried and lost an eye, and your little friend thought he could and lost a pair of lungs."
Bakugo met your gaze, his determination unwavering. Without a word, you lunged at him, moving with an eerie grace that was predatory. Bakugo braced himself, the air crackling with explosive energy as he prepared to meet your assault head-on. The fight erupted in a burst of violence.
You were relentless, your strikes precise and deadly. It was as if your body moved of its own accord, driven by the drug's malefic influence. Bakugo, on the other hand, fought to subdue, not harm you. His explosions were carefully controlled, meant to disable rather than destroy.
You darted around him, dodging Bakugo's explosive blasts and retaliating with ferocious strikes, each landing multiple hits, it was clear to the blond hero you were operating on instinct rather than your conscious thought.
Bakugo recalled Todoroki's word as he entered the building after dropping Midoriya—something about Trigger. Bakugo tried to recall Midnight's class when she went over narcotics, but all he could remember was the feeling of your hand on his back as you peacefully slept behind him.
Bakugo's palms crackled with explosive energy as he faced off against you in the dimly lit, decrepit building. Your malevolent aura seemed to seep from every pore.
You taunted him, your words dripping with a sinister edge. Bakugo clenched his teeth, his frustration mounting as blood trickled down his forehead. He knew this wasn't the real you—his heart clenched; it couldn't be the real you.
"You sure you wanna keep holding back against me cupcake?" You taunt while advancing forward, moving with an eerie grace that sent shivers down Bakugo's spine. Without uttering another word, you lunged at him, movements predatory.
Bakugo's instincts kicked in, and he met your attack head-on. Explosive blasts erupted around him as he deflected your strikes, creating a makeshift battlefield within the crumbling building. The deafening sounds of their clash filled the air.
You darted around him, movements like a whirlwind. You dodged Bakugo's explosive blasts with uncanny agility, landing multiple hits on him. Bakugo's focus remained on containing you without causing any lasting damage.
Amidst the chaos, Bakugo's mind raced as an opportunity presented itself, he spotted a weakened section of the crumbling wall nearby. With a powerful explosion, Bakugo sent a section of the wall hurtling toward you. The debris struck your side, causing you to stagger and sending you crashing through a wall, which quickly crumbled around you.
"Stay down." Bakugo breathed under his breath, wiping the blood from dripping into his eye.
As the dust gradually settled, Bakugo sprang to the side with swift agility, narrowly evading a knife hurtling past him. He could feel the rush of air as the blade whizzed dangerously close, embedding itself into the wooden surface behind him.
"I'm done playing now." Your voice rang out, sending an unsettling shiver down Bakugo's spine. In an instant, Bakugo spun on his heel, his arms raised defensively to block the knife that threatened to impale his chest. The clash of metal against his explosive quirk created a cacophonous clash that echoed through the tense air.
Bakugo was well-acquainted with your fighting style; he had meticulously analyzed the Seven Bullets technique from the very moment your identity was unveiled. He recognized you as the team's powerhouse, and he understood his best shot at prevailing against you was to maintain a substantial distance between the two of you.
Bakugo clenched his fists, determination etched across his face as he unleashed a colossal explosion that sent you hurtling through the very structure of the building, crashing through walls and landing outside.
The impact was forceful, but you staggered to your feet, seemingly unfazed, your malevolent grin still in place.
"You still hit like the bitch you were in high school!" You taunted Bakugo, his eyes blazed with frustration, why wouldn't you just stay down!?
Without hesitation, Bakugo closed the distance between you, engaging in a relentless hand-to-hand battle. Every punch and kick was filled with power and purpose.
Meanwhile, All Might had arrived at the scene and was urgently talking on the phone crouched beside Aizawa, his voice raised in anger and frustration. He turned to Todoroki and barked out an order. "Todoroki, create a dome, just like you did for Shiro!"
Confusion filled Todoroki's eyes as he questioned All Might's command. "But why?"
All Might's response was grave and to the point. "We need to keep her contained. We cannot let her escape."
Understanding the urgency of the situation, Todoroki nodded taking a quick glance at Midoriya and Aizawa before jogging off to create the massive ice dome, which would hopefully prevent you from breaking free.
"Todoroki!" All Might quickly called, the dual user looked over his shoulder. "Use your fire quirk when done, we need to light this place up, get rid of any shadow!"
Todoroki gave a stiff nod, before turning on his heel and jogging off for higher ground.
In the midst of the intense battle, you utilized your shadow quirk with precision, capturing Bakugo's leg in its inky tendrils. With a deadly intent, you moved in for the final strike.
However, just as you were about to execute your attack, Midoriya leaped into the fray. Using his black whip quirk, he pushed you back forcefully while simultaneously grabbing onto Bakugo. Your shadow quirk recoiled as Midoriya's intervention annoyingly disrupted your fatal assault.
Midoriya landed on the ground, clutching his chest in agony, blood trickling from his lips. Midoriya struggled to regain his composure and gasped for breath, he felt an overwhelming sensation coursing through his chest. It was as if a frigid, viscous liquid had been poured into him, instantly numbing his insides. The chilling coldness seemed to penetrate every fiber of his being, causing his heart to race even faster.
Midoriya's terrified gaze locked onto Bakugo's eyes, and the fear within Midoriya's expression was palpable. "What is that place?" Midoriya croaked, the metallic taste of iron flooding his mouth.
Todoroki's eyes glowed with a fierce determination as he channeled his fire quirk. Flames erupted from his left side, casting a searing, brilliant light that filled the dome he had created with ice. The sudden blaze of fire painted the interior of the dome with a vivid, fiery glow, dispelling any lingering shadows and darkness.
As the dome lit up, your eyes widened with realization.
"Hell no-!" You spat, spinning on your heel—you weren't about to be trapped again!
But before you could flee too far from the brightly lit area, Bakugo acted with lightning speed. He left Midoriya, who was clutching his chest, and pursued you. With a burst of explosive force, he closed the distance between him and you in the blink of an eye.
Tackling you to the ground, Bakugo's grip was unrelenting. His heart pounded in his chest; his breathing heavy. He was determined, but beneath the determination was a torrent of emotions threatening to engulf him. The two of you struggled on the illuminated ground, and when Bakugo was pushed off, you both instantly regained your feet.
"God damn it, (y.n)!" Bakugo snapped; his voice raw with frustration. "Why aren't you fighting it this time?" He shouted; his words laced with desperation. "You fought like hell under that villain's quirk. Why aren't you doing that now?"
You met his gaze, your eyes wide and intense like a cornered predator, defiant and unyielding.
"What makes you think there's a reason for me to fight it?" You countered.
"Are you still hung up on that whole being paid thing!?" Bakugo's mouth fell open in exasperation.
Your narrowed eyes remained fixed on him, unrelenting.
"You make it so damn hard to love you!" Bakugo's voice cracked, the emotions he had tried to bottle up now spilling out. "You have no reason to hold onto all that anger because the only thing I or any of us did was care about you!" Bakugo shouted, his words a desperate plea. "The messed-up part is I can't even be mad at you for being angry because you didn't do anything wrong. I didn't do anything wrong. The only person who is at fault here is Puzzle, who did all this!"
"I don't care." You breathed, pulling the last knife from your cargo pants. "Move or I'll move you myself—and I won't play nice anymore."
"You'll have to kill me to get through me." Bakugo stood his ground, unwavering. You smiled, a cold determination in your eyes as you shrugged.
"Your funeral-" Your words were cut off by a force throwing you sideways, slamming you into the nearby building.
"(y.n)!?" Bakugo shouted, confusion filling his voice as he spun around but was thrown backwards.
"It would have been nice if someone left a door for me!" Gray called; his arm raised in your direction, keeping you pressed against the wall, ignoring your stuggles he turned to Bakugo. "It was a bitch getting in."
"What...?" Bakugo blinked.
"What-?" Gray chuckled, "-you thought this was All Might's plan?"
"This was all your idea?" Bakugo stood.
"Duh." Gray smirked. "Good job keeping her entertained with all that lovey-dovey stuff, I didn't think it would work, but it distracted her enough."
Bakugo instantly blushed.
You struggled fiercely against Gray's quirk; your movements became increasingly erratic as you fought for control. The shadows churned around you like a storm, but Gray maintained his focus, determined to keep you contained.
Aizawa, Midoriya, All Might, and Todoroki rushed into the scene, their eyes filled with worry and determination. They could see Gray approaching you cautiously, his gun at the ready but not pointed directly at you. With a quick, calculated move, he used the butt of his gun to deliver a precise blow, knocking you unconscious.
All Might protested, "What the hell are you-!?"
Gray turned, cutting him off. "Do any of you have a better way to get her out of here?" He questioned, "My quirk wasn't going to hold her long, did you see those shadows trying to force their way out to reach her?" His tone was firm and resolute.
"I-I guess not..." All Might murmured, his gaze shifting to Aizawa, who cradled the injured side of his face.
"Let's go-" Gray motions, "-we don't know how long we got until she comes to."
