Percy POV
The next two weeks were very good. Sure, things could be better. Tyson could not have cancer, and my father could not be pressuring me with Dare industries. However, speaking holistically, the last few weeks were completely satisfactory.
Annabeth and I were great.
We kept our relationship on the down low at work. When we are outside of work, our affair blossomed. I loved every moment with her even the ones where she was yelling at me.
I couldn't wait to spend time with her after work. Annabeth was strict about keeping a professional relationship at work. However, that's easier than done when she looks gorgeous all the time. What can I say, I like that she's a powerful woman.
I walked into the office and dropped off a few documents.
Annabeth swiftly took the files and went to reading them. I stared at her. She was wearing a red dress that hugged her perfect curves. Her hair was in falling in princess waves. Her eyes sparkled while darting between files.
She looked quite sexy, and I missed her all day.
"Stop looking at me like that," Annabeth commanded. She didn't even look up as she continued to sign the documents.
"How am I looking at you, Ms. Chase?"
Annabeth looked up for the first time. Her pen twirled in her fingers while her calculating gaze fell upon my face.
"You're looking at me like you've seen me naked," she commented.
"That's because I have," I smirked. "And, I might be picturing you right now."
Annabeth smiled while crossing her hands. The documents on her desk were no longer of interest as we gazed into each other's eyes. "You think that you're being clever, Mr. Jackson. This is a fantasy for you, isn't it?"
"I have always found you hot, Ms. Chase," I flirted back.
"I wish I could say the same," she shot back. "Furthermore, I like to keep a professional setting at work. I could contact human resources for what you just said."
I sighed in defeat. Annabeth doesn't let our relationship come into the office. As soon as we enter the company, we become different people. I understand the need for our discretion, but I sometimes hate it.
"Anyway, Mr. Jackson, are you ready for Migration tomorrow?"
"I have no idea why it's such a big deal. It's just a straight line of meetings between you and the different departments of the company. I'll just be helping you throughout the day."
"You're no understanding, Percy," Annabeth paused. "Tomorrow is the one day that you become everyone's secretary; not just mine."
I didn't know what that meant, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
"Well, Ms. Chase, it's nearing 6 pm. I think that the workday is over."
Annabeth organized her desk before following me out of the office. Since tomorrow is Migration, most of the employees left early today. Each department has to be prepared to be addressed by the boss. As such, they all went home to rest and prepare.
We walked into the elevator together.
"You're gonna have a rough day tomorrow," Annabeth commented. "Most of my assistants quit after Migration."
"You're kidding, right?"
"I'd never lie to you, Percy," she paused. The horrible elevator music suffocated the stinging distance between us. "Gods, I hate the music. Remind me to do something about it."
I couldn't hold it in anymore. My actions were sudden. I grabbed Annabeth by the waist and pressed her against the wall of the elevator. My lips crashed onto hers. Pure ecstasy washed over my body as my hands explored her waist.
"We're still at work," Annabeth whispered into my mouth.
"Do you care about that right now?" I asked huskily. My lips trailed her jaw and kissed her pretty neck. "Do you want me to stop?"
"I didn't say that," she said.
Suddenly, Annabeth pushed me. She pounded the pause button on the elevator, which slowed to a stop somewhere near the 6th floor. I breathed out heavily while watching Annabeth turn back towards me. I didn't wait any time to resume our hot make-out session.
Sex in an elevator. I never thought that I'd take an idea from Fifty Shades of Grey.
But, I didn't regret it one bit.

Migration would be every secretary's worst nightmare. Annabeth didn't even want to hang out yesterday night because she wanted me to get some rest. While I complained at the time, I was so grateful that I went to bed early.
I was running around all morning. I spent an hour organizing Annabeth's meetings, files, and presentations for the day's schedule.
Then, I had to attend every meeting and help the boss. Any time someone would forget a document or a piece of information, I had to go fetch it. Annabeth wasn't lying when she said that I was everyone's secretary today. I've never been so mobile at this job. I haven't even been on some of the floors before today.
"Percy, I see that you're having a fun day," Katie joked.
"Can you guys not rag on me today? I am swamped, and it's only been half the day," I explained while munching on my sandwich.
"Well, my department is up next. I can't wait to give you some work," Silena said slyly.
Katie started laughing while I rolled my eyes. Her marketing department was the one meeting I hoped would come in completely prepared so that I could rest.
I shrugged while finishing my sandwich. However, I was still hungry since I was running around all day. I even had to change shirts because I spilled coffee on my last one. I was rushing coffee to Annabeth earlier while transferring files for the international trading department. One thing led to another, and I made a mess.
I still smell like coffee, which isn't necessarily bad.
Silena asked Katie to buy us some more sandwiches from the cafeteria. She seemed to notice that I was still hungry. I only have a few minutes though. I watched as Katie walked away. I hoped that she would be quick with the food.
"Okay, so now that we're alone, I want to talk about a certain glow on your face, Percy," Silena expressed. My eyebrow raised in suspicion.
"What are you talking about?" I faked innocence.
"You've been getting some, haven't you?" Silena paused while smiling brightly. "I want to know everything. Who is she?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. Also, my love life is not something that we should talk about right now. Can we just move on?"
"Since you're tired today, I'll just ask you tomorrow."
"Fine, and since Katie is taking forever, I have to go. I'll see you at the meeting later. Please be prepared so that I don't need to do anything."
"Only if you promise to tell me about your girlfriend," Silena expressed.
I paused next to my chair. I grabbed my blazer and put it on. However, I couldn't walk away from Silena. She's the type of girl who wants to know about relationships. She would only continue pushing, but I can't tell her about Annabeth.
"I can't tell you about her, Silena. She's not-"
Silena's eyes narrowed as I faltered off. She stood up and wrapped her arms around my shoulders. "This is a good thing, Percy. Both of you are a great match," Silena whispered. "Your secret's safe with me."
"Thanks for understanding," I replied with a smile.
Besides Silena, only Grover knows about my relationship with Annabeth. I couldn't keep it a secret from my best friend, who knows everything about me. Besides, Grover doesn't personally know Annabeth, so he's not an issue to our discretion.
The meeting with the marketing department was the best meeting of the day. The rest of the day went back to me being everyone's assistant.
Note to self: I hate Migration day.

Today is July 10th. There were only two more days left before my book is officially on the market. The Hunters said that advertising was a huge success. Many libraries, schools, and corporations already put preorders on my novel.
I don't really know what that means though. I have no experience with business financials, but I was assuming that thousands of preorders are a good thing.
I stared at the three fresh novels on my desk. It brought tears to my eyes thinking that my dream project would finally come true.
Also, I was excited about starting my next book. I have a fresh idea and a plotline.
"Percy, you have a guest," Hestia expressed. She was smiling a little way too much. Gods, Hestia could never be cool.
"Hestia, you have to relax. I only invited my boss for dinner because I wanted Tyson and Estelle to meet her. They'll get along great. I know it."
Hestia and I walked back to the living room. Annabeth was sitting on the couch talking to Estelle about dolls and princesses. Tyson was watching Annbaeth critically, but he was trying and failing now to show it.
Estelle was just a kid, but Tyson is almost a teenager. He knows what it means when I bring a woman into our home.
"Thanks for coming to dinner, Ms. Chase," I said casually. "Tyson and Estelle, I want to formally introduce you to my boss, Annabeth Chase."
"She's so pretty," Estelle squealed.
I chuckled while Annabeth blushed, but she didn't say anything.
Estelle hit it off with Annabeth, but Tyson was shyer. Plus, he was in the middle of a chemo round. I was just hoping that he wouldn't get sick tonight.
We all watched TV and got to know each other for a few hours. I was grateful that Annabeht decided to come over. It was the first time that she was meeting my siblings. Furthermore, today was the first whole day that Annabeth took off, and she decided to spend a chunk of it with me and my family. That meant a lot.
It also made me admire Annabeth more. She cared about me and my family, and she was proving that tonight. She got along great with Estelle, Hestia, and even Tyson (who people normally have trouble with).
The dinner went great until Tyson got sick.
He ran away from the dinner table before we could even react. He ran towards the restroom. Annabeth was surprised and confused, and I quickly followed.
I gently held Tyson as he threw up. He doesn't even cry anymore. Tyson knows the truth now. It's no longer cancer that's making him sick, it's the chemotherapy. Tyson is getting better, and he'd be in remission very soon.
After Tyson got better, we returned to dinner. It was tense, but I did my best to keep the conversation flowing. I ignored the elephant in the room till later.
Annabeth and I stood on my balcony with two glasses of wine.
"Remember when I told you that I needed money during my interview," I started. "Well, I need money because Tyson has leukemia. My family couldn't pay for it unless I get a decent job. Even now, most of my paycheck from Olympus Architecture goes to medical bills."
"So, you started working for me?"
"As I said, I needed the job."
"Why didn't you take the job at Dare Industries? That job offered a lot more money and better medical benefits," Annabeth asked.
"I couldn't leave you," I whispered.
I clinked her glass while smiling at her. She turned towards me as well. The breeze gently ruffled her blonde, silky hair. She looked beautiful, and I couldn't help but feel lucky. I was so glad that I made the decision that I made.
I appreciated Annabeth for not making a big deal of this. It demonstrated how much she knew me and my personality. I give her a firm kiss on the lips.
"I'm glad that you stayed with me, Seaweed Brain."
