Chapter 1 - Phineas Anderson Arc - Hard at Work

.Long ago, in a small town of Ireland, there was a prosperous clan. The clan of Anderson. They were one of the strongest clans in their area. They did trade with neighboring towns and even had strong bonds with other clans. Just at the paramount of their dominion over the Lumber industry in Ireland, a new clan moved to town from the neighboring country of Scotland. That clan was the clan of Nilesbury. They soon stole the Crown of Lumber sale from the Andersons. Taking their customers, allies, and everything. Not too long after, the Andersons turned to illegal activities to maintain a foothold on the market. And to expand their territory in the process. Ranging from things like betting on, managing, and participating in underground fights, to drugs, hits, prostitution, etc. An earnest man, named Phineas Anderson, began to grow weary of constantly committing these heinous acts to be able to afford to live. Resentful of his father, he turned to an honest life of hard work and labor to, in his mind, atone for his family's crimes. Our story follows this man, and his endeavors to lead an honest life and pay for his education in the process.

Brianston, Leitrim County, Ireland.

September 18th, 1232 A.D.

The tree leaves shine from the rain droplets bouncing the sunlight. Animals play, hunt, and obviously…Fuck. Mountains are in the distance past the many trees in the forest. As one looks just below the horizon, away from the forest, the faint sight of a lake can be seen. Glimmering in all of its glory, fish can be seen swimming in harmony. A bunny is on the ground, running, darting through the bushes. Around the trees. Past a puddle that reflects its little face. A sound of chopping can be heard not too far away. It gets closer, and closer. And finally, a man can be seen with an axe, chopping down a tree. He is tall, has brownish-red hair, muscular (presumably from many years of hard work). Beads of sweat run down his forehead and down his whole upper body. Diligently swinging his axe, the tree finally falls down. It hits the ground with a loud rustling of leaves, and then THUMP!! The critters dart away quickly. A pile of lumber sits behind him. The man wipes the sweat off his forehead. "I guess that's it fer the day.", Phineas said, breathing heavily from exhaustion. He lets out a sigh of relief and starts to pick up the many pieces of lumber off the ground, tying them up to make them easier to transport.

Afterwards, he picks them up and begins to walk through the forest. To him, it feels like but a few minutes, and now it is dusk.

A village can be seen not too far away. Phineas finally makes it and sets up shop. Putting up the sign on top of his stand. It reads "Lumber. 10 Shillings each." The market is tough right now as wood is scarce in the mainland. Phineas has had to replant trees to have product to sell. And because of this, he has to charge extra to be able to make a profit. The Nilesbury clan pretty much owns every square kilometer of forest in Ireland. So Phineas has had to make his own territory. A customer walks up to his stand, dressed quite formally. Wearing a suit and tie, new shoes, a nice tight with a gold insignia on it. His suit jacket had the same emblem. The man looked quite handsome, and almost just like Phineas. His name is Connor Anderson. "Why are ye keepin' this hobby up? There're better ways to make yer earnins'.", said Connor. "Father?", Phineas said calmly and surprised.
