Esmee was curled up in her bed when William arrived and brought her some medicine. William immediately placed the febrifuge and multivitamin he had bought for Esmee on the nightstand beside the bed.
Standing up, William looked at Esmee who was asleep. Seeing Esmee's red face, William suspected that Esmee's fever had not gone down. He then placed the back of his hand on Esmee's forehead to ensure.
William furrowed his brow. "I've only been gone for a while. Why does her fever getting higher?"
Suddenly, Esmee let out a low moan as she pulled the blanket closer to her body.
"She should take some medicine soon if she wants to reduce her fever," William muttered.
William finally walked to the kitchenette in Esmee's room. He took a glass from the cupboard and poured some water into it.
With a prolonged movement, William returned to Esmee's bed and placed the glass he had brought on the bedside table. William then pulled a chair to the edge of the bed. After that, he sat on the chair.
"Esmee, wake up. I have bought some medicine for you." William slowly patted the shoulder of Esmee, who was asleep.
Esmee was silent and did not respond to William's words. She remained asleep and completely ignored William, who tried to wake her up. William again tried to wake Esmee up. This time he shook Esmee's body slightly.
"Esmee, take your medicine first," William said.
Once again, Esmee ignored William, who tried to wake her up. William let out a long sigh seeing Esmee, who did not wake up even though he had tried to wake her.
"What should I do?" muttered William. He then went back to holding Esmee's forehead.
"Her fever is getting higher, and I can't wake her up," William said resignedly.
"I can't let her," William continued.
William glanced briefly at the medicine he had bought for Esmee. He then grabbed the pill and opened it. After that, he put the drug in his mouth along with some water.
He held the medicine and water in his mouth so that he would not swallow it. Afterward, he held Esmee's shoulders and made her lie on his hand. William opened Esmee's mouth slightly with his hand and then brought his lips to hers.
William was like someone who was doing CPR for Esmee. The medicine and water in William's mouth finally moved to Esmee's mouth. After that, William straightened his body while wiping the remaining water on his lips.
Esmee still closed her eyes. She coughed a little, but she did not open her eyes at all. William let out a long sigh while looking at Esmee. "At least now you've taken your medicine."
William sat back on the chair he had placed next to Esmee's bed. He then looked at Esmee's sleeping face. His hand smoothed the blanket that covered Esmee's body. He also wiped the remaining water around Esmee's lips with his hand.
He fell silent as soon as his thumb touched Esmee's soft lips. William gasped while holding his lips. "What did I just do? I-"
William looked at Esmee with an incredulous look. "You-"
"What did you do to me? Why did I go this far?" William said as he looked at the sleeping Esmee.
William squeezed his hair after realizing what he had done to Esmee. "I'll go crazy if I stay here too long."
While William was shocked by what he had just done to Esmee, the girl suddenly moaned. He unknowingly kissed Esmee, right?
"William?" Esmee murmured with her eyes half open.
William swallowed as soon as he heard Esmee's voice calling him. "I'm here."
"Ah, thank goodness." Esmee let out a long sigh and closed her eyes again.
Esmee's words left William speechless. He did not know why Esmee was grateful to know he was still beside her. William was glued to his seat while looking at Esmee, who had fallen asleep again.

Dimitri and Charles sat opposite each other in the hotel restaurant where Dimitri was staying. They had been waiting for William for an hour, but William had not yet shown up.
Charles let out a long sigh when Dimitri looked at him. "Okay, I'll call him."
Without waiting for orders from Dimitri, Charles immediately contacted William. Until the last ringtone, William did not answer his phone. Charles tried again to get William. But this time, with just one ringtone, William rejected his call.
Charles looked back at Dimitri, who was sitting in front of him. "He doesn't want to answer his phone. Maybe you can meet him tomorrow."
Dimitri took the glass of water before him and drank it. "I stopped by at that restaurant."
"You saw him at the restaurant?" Charles asked.
Dimitri nodded his head. "At first, I just wanted to taste the food at the restaurant. I didn't expect that I would see William working there. He looks very different."
"What's the difference? For me, he's still the same William I know," said Charles.
"I've worked for decades serving the Hunter family. I still remember when William comes to that mansion. I watched him grow up. And I'm pretty sure that the William I saw in the restaurant is the same William I knew long before all the chaos in his life," Dimitri explained.
"Wait a minute, I think William sent a message," Charles said when he felt his cell phone vibrate in his pants pocket. He immediately took the phone. And sure enough, William sent a message to him.
Charles frowned slightly when he read the message sent by William. After that, he returned his attention to Dimitri.
"He said he was still at the restaurant. If you want to see him, he asked you to come to the restaurant because he can't leave," Charles said.
Dimitri immediately wiped his mouth and got up from his seat. Charles does the same, and they leave the hotel.
