While on the way back to her penthouse after a short grocery shopping spree, Irene felt like her arms are going to detach from her shoulders due to the heaviness of the grocery bags.
She was having a hard time pushing the upwards button of the elevator because both of her hands are full which is why a man pressed it in her behalf.
Irene looked at the man and he looked very familiar as if she saw him before even though she is certain that she really has not met him ever.
Her heart raced as their eyes met but he stared at her with no interest at all and proceeded to go inside the elevator. His eyes are cold and could pierce through her soul. It was emotionless.
As soon as they reached Irene' floor, she was able to breathe out if relief that she could finally rest. Before exiting the elevator, Irene lightly bowed her head to thank him.
