Irene frowned the moment she saw her own reflection on the hand held mirror. She had bruises all over her face, a broken lip, and a few stitches on her left eyebrow.
There is a white bandage wrapped around her head and a few traces of blood coming from the stitches on her eyebrows.
"I look… awful." Irene spoke weakly as she handed the mirror back to Valerie who then placed it on top of the bedside table.
Valerie worriedly looks at Irene, "You should have seen your face three days ago. It was swelling all over like how your face usually swells when you are having an allergic reaction." She informed Irene.
Contorting her face painfully, Irene tried to open her mouth and speak.
"What happened to the criminals? And what happened to you?" Irene asks, tears are welling in her eyes. She is very worried over Valerie because Hajoon Baek clearly said it himself that he abused Valerie just like what he does with the other artists under him.
